Can some one give an example for a non-convex function whose quasigradient is not a subgradient? Thanks.

Why does the point at the bottom is not a global minimizer? I heard Prof. Boyd says something about "zeroes in", but doesnt quite get it

In Convex Optimization II --- he seems to go superficial and skip a lot of proofs and just state things ... Convex optimization I was very detailed (atleast the book had all the details that you want) ... However, now i wonder which book he is teaching this from ...

During EE364A a lot of proves was in homeworks, here maybe too. I guess prof. just don't have enough time to write book about this course....If ones I will know I'll let you know
