Hello Professor, can you use cross tabs/ chi square for a nominal variable and Likert-scale ordinal data?

Chi square is to be used when the data is nominal in nature. It cannot be used for ordinal data.

merge two to make it more than 5 or eliminate. it is not actual value rather it is expected value in large sample it will never come les than 5
