Rect(t/4 + 2/8) = rect(1/4(t+1)) So do scaling first I.e. draw rectangular pulse of width 8 and then shift towards right by 1

Ya sry width must be 4 i.e. from -2 to 2 then advance the rectangular pulse into left side by 1 unit, and friend rect(1/4(t+1)) is same as rect((t+1)/4)

And the rectangular signal will exist from -3 to 1 having amplitude 1

On doing from either side u will get same answer

Sir what does it mean? That "Though Ramp signal and step signal both are continuous signal but Step signal does have a discontinuity at t=0" I learnt that if a signal is discontinuous at any point then it is called as discontinue signal.

For ramp signal it should be kt for t greater than or equal to zero?

At 16:25 t/8 -3/8 hoga aur 3/8 se hi shift hoga naa ki 3 se

At 17:45 the signal will not shift with 3 it will shift with 3/8 to right .

can any one explain the graph of rect( t/4+2/8). I mean to ask the limits of final graph because when we equate the terms in bracket with 0 then t becomes -1
