The Golden Age of Science Fiction is when it grew in popularity, and Campbell had a significant influence on the turnabout of the genre. The passion he had now shows in the works of sci-fi today.

Its crazy to see the difference, especially in what is modern science fiction of today in film adaptions it can get very distorted on what is hard science mean now.

i appreciate how thanks to Campbell's editorship, he was able to deepen the character traits and make them more compelling, rather than what was normally portrayed in science fiction back then.

Crazy to see "I, Robot" as one of the classics from the golden age era of science fiction, I used to enjoy reading "I, Robot" when I was younger.

This English class has my head spinning, I never connected SI-fi and Language together like this. It is very interesting, I now have the desire to watch science fiction movies.

I like the fact that Campbell made the characters more complex because I feel like that would make them more interesting and easier to become attached to since they have a more intricate story line.

After the lecture and getting to know a little bit about the stories of these classics, Campell’s ideas and the movement he generate within sci-fi were my favorite part.

I actually learned a lot in this lecture. I find it pretty interesting how a majority of classics were made in the 1930's. I also learned the importance of editors and the roles they have in the final work, which was something I had never really thought about before.

I like how Campbell reinforced the importance of describing the setting in a sci-fi story. It helps imagine what scenes in a story would look like.

At an early age my grandma would read the book "I, Robot" to me; I didn't knew it was part of the outstanding science fiction stories. I can conclude that Campbell's ideas were more influential than what I had thought.

It's always fascinating to see how something progresses from its creation and what it develops into, in this case this Golden Age does show similarity to the works and films of Sci-Fi to this day.

By analyzing Campbell's contributions as an editor I can identify books and films that have the greatest impact on the science fiction genre, the ones that I enjoy the most satisfy most of his ideas.

It's interesting that the Golden Age of Sci-Fi was the catalyst to the many stories we love reading today. And I've taken notice that after the Golden Age of Sci-Fi started, The Golden Age of Comics soon followed.

Its fascinating how even back in the 30's and 50's people were tossing crazy ideas around about what could happen, or reflecting on how society is through depiction of another reality that isn't too far from the one we live.

I think it's good that the "competent man" came to be and characters began to show more depth and intellect. In my opinion, when a character is capable it adds to the story.

Heinlein's exploration of libertarian societies in books like "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", "Farham's Freehold" and "Stranger in a Strange Land" are some of the classics of this time period. I would say that more than knowledge, Heinlein's characters had common sense.

learning about the Golden Age of Science Fiction is that it was during this period, roughly the 1930s to the 1950s, that many of the genre's most iconic authors, like Issac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, and Robert Heinlein, rose to prominence.
