India definitely is not short of skilled workers, in fact setting up battery recycling plants will open up more job opportunities. But you haven't discussed the energy used in the recycling process. Most of the recycling plants use a hydrometallurgical process that consumes ~30MJ of energy, ~14L of water and also produces 2Kg of CO2 for recycling 1Kg of battery material. Is India ready to meet the energy demand required for the recycling of Li-ion batteries?
