Good lecture :-) When Prof. Susskind says that space is continuously replenished in an expanding universe, are there some space quanta continuously created to achieve this ... ;-P ? (could not hold that back maybe because the end of the year is too near; running away and hiding under a table now ...) Happy New Year :-)

Entropy is an adiabatic invariant ;doesn't change when you do things slowly.

what happens when process are not adiabatic are the results same or they differ?

In general, the entropy will change during a non-adiabatic process.

Could quantum mechanics represent the passage or Arrow of Time? This theory is based on just two postulates, 1.The first is that the quantum wave particle function explained by Schrödinger’s wave equation represents the forward passage of time or Arrow of Time itself photon by photon, quanta by quanta or moment by moment. 2. The second is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle that is formed by the wave function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event. No strings!

@@jay.u I don’t disagree with a lot of what you say, the wave function Ψ² with entropy is one of the few thing that has a direction in time. Also the Uncertainty Principle can be reformulated between energy and time ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π. Only the interpretation change in this theory with the mathematics of Quantum Mechanics representing the physics of time.
