I never saw odd/even analysis before in my EE background so this gave some idea of what it was and how it works, although I'd like to see more detail. Do you have another video explaining more how to derive matrices in more detail?

Why there is a "J" phase in some of the scattering parameters for the Directional Coupler ?

Hybrid couplers introduce 90 phase. The j terms are 90 degrees phase.
