You were misdiagnosed
@mcgheebentle1958 Жыл бұрын
If you had trisomy 13, you would not even be able to type. What actually happened was that the diagnosis your parents received when you were in utero was actually incorrect. These tests are actually not incredibly accurate - depending on what test was performed it only has an accuracy rate of 50-70 percent. So you do not have trisomy 13. You may not want to continue to announce that you “have trisomy 13” since this is inaccurate. Hope this helps.
No it's a chromosome issue we can't manipulate chromosomes

My daughter has just lost her trisomy 18 son. Without full diagnosis immediately abortion is the preferred outcome from medical treatment. This is atrocious and should be considered discrimination at its core. My daughter believes in right to life and the medical system has caused her grief to grater proportions making her feel like her child is useless worthless and not worth the money to put into NICU unlike other disable babies. There has to be a better way to deal with the ethical pain of this……

Such a race for life, where the toughest and most resilient sperm beats all other sperm to the egg... wins life!! So how do poor kids end up with such abnormalities? It's so not fair. You'd think with such a successful sperm winning the race to the egg, that baby would be blessed with the winning sperm's genetics of supreme superiority. It just breaks things inside of me to think how some poor kids are born with defects. There's millions of sperm racing thru the uterine death zone to get to the egg... how does a sperm carrying defects beat out all the others who would provide normal genetic info? Life is boggling...
