Thanks so much for posting this. i just bought one. I noticed, you had a line going out of the other side as well. Where/what does that hook into?

Longer bubble wands have two connectors to allow adequate airflow into the wand.

Ordered one of these air bubble lights a few days ago, they do look amazing in a aquarium. I just wished they had put a automatic timer on the LED lights. Cheers for the video

@Mynameisnottrevor3 жыл бұрын
You can buy a timer from any hardware store for like $2. That's what I did. All my aquariums are on timers, it's great. Highly recommend doing it.

Where do I put the ceramic rings for the 10 gallon bubble wall?

I really like the bubble wall and how you can change the colors, where did you buy yours? Petsmart charges way to much money. It's simply beautiful with the fish swimming all around the bubbles!

Teresa Maria thank you! 💕 I bought mine on eBay.. around $15-$18+ free shipping 🙂

Can this wand work if you use sand vs. gravel? Or will the sand get blasted away and expose the whole wand?

What do you put at the other end of the air tubes? Or are they supposed to stay open?

LOL with the sensor picking up signals from the remote control. That's actually funny, because I can relate to that! :'D And that's why I never put these sensors in plain sight for it to be able to pick up other signals. I had the same problem with one of my terrarium LED strips. But once I put that little sensor more out of sight - against the wall almost behind the terrarium - it no longer went disco on me when I changed channels on my TV. It does mean that I have to point the remote LED control straight towards the sensor, and thus having to make a few more physical steps towards it, but it did help not going banana on me whenever I watch TV. Cheers! PS: can I give a helpful tip? Don't place it too close to you filter inlets when using a canister filter. Air bubbles create micro bubbles, and those need to be able to reach the top of your tank before being sucked in by your (closed) filtration system. When too much micro bubbles are sucked in, which takes less time than you may think, it greatly affects your filtration system, and couldn't even mean premature death of your pump itself due to air pockets in the closed system. Unless you have a sump system, of course (which I think you're using?). Then you shouldn't worry about it too much.

Oh tysm!! I have the sensor back now. But ever once in awhile.. lol.. I go to turn my tv up or down and... BOOM.. the fish all turn bright green😂😂😂

I recently bought a bubble wall but the bubbles come out too big and it causes too much disturbance in the water Is there a way I can make the bubbles smaller?
@aquastar43363 жыл бұрын
Hmm. If you have hard water... eventually they will get smaller. Minerals and calcium from hard water will build up on the little rubbery bubble maker thing...lol. then it will probably be bit smaller bubbles. But if u have really soft water, they may never change size. I'm not sure

Have you considered a dehumidifier to counter water evaporation
@aquastar43366 жыл бұрын
SBRINKERHOFF meh it doesn't evaporate too much. I just add more water :)
@shutitfukface4 жыл бұрын
You mean a humidifier right? A dehumidifier would make it more dry and therefor I would think evaporation would be even greater.

Nawed Sheikh Yeah I just can't find info. Where do the wires stick out? Do I need a bucket nearby?
@mavgk61555 жыл бұрын
Did you know by placing the the bubble wall so close to the filter inlets greatly reduces the efficiency of the filter pumps. (micro bubbles). Your filter pump manual should give you info on how close you can put the bubblers. Minimum distance of 6" comes to mind. You would be better served to put 1 shorter bubble wall on each end of the tank instead.

You need a stronger air pump.
@TheOpelkoenjas5 жыл бұрын
@Dun's World I myself use the Eheim 400 air pump, which comes with 2 air outlets that can be controlled separately. This is a very silent pump compared to other brands, yet a powerful one while only using 7-8W, it can be used for aquariums from 50 liter up to 400 liters, and isn't very expensive (available on Amazon). And of course as all air pumps it needs a power socket. Tip: DO NOT PUT THE AIR PUMP INSIDE YOUR TANK! Place it next to it, or on top of it. And always attach a non-return valve (or check-valve) into the plastic tubing, to prevent tank water to run back to the air pump in case of a random power outage. Here's a link to a video of this particular air pump: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnOyl5KMdtGdetk

TheOpelkoenjas for my 55 I just bought a 12 inch led bubble bar and bought the strongest air pump Petco had (rated for 100 gallon tank) and all the bubbles come flying out the first couple holes in large amounts and barely come out rest of strip no matter how I configure it.. do you think the pump might be too strong for the bubble bar? It definitely should not be too weak
@sweeety9695 жыл бұрын
no one ever mentions air pumps in dese videos..
@TheOpelkoenjas5 жыл бұрын
Indeed. Would be nice to know what capacity their air pumps have to create that amount of bubbles, so that people don't go buy one that isn't strong enough.
@aquastar43364 жыл бұрын
I shared this before with someone else on another video somewhere. Here is the exact air pump used in this video: rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F262074874443 It's for up to 300 gallon aquarium! Good price. Can be bit noisy. But cost effective.

@@nawedsheikh9451 What is it with people and not being able to think for themselves anymore these days. 1) attach the air hose from your air pump to the inlet on the LED. If there are two inlets, use either an air pump with 2 outlets or use 2 air pumps (mentioned in the video by the way) 2) place the LED in the water (use the suction cups that come along with it or replace them with better graded ones if you want to) 3) plug everything in 4) done. It's that simple. No need to make a video out of something that even a small child would figure out by him/herself within minutes. One tip: don't place the bubbles too close to the inlet of your filtration pump. Otherwise it will suck in too much air and by doing so, loosing a lot of it's filtration capacity, AND even putting to much stress on pump itself. Get one that is about half the size of your aquarium and place it as far away as possible from the inlet of your filter. And for the people who say "It doesn't work as good as yours/it's faulty, because I hardly get any bubbles": get a stronger air pump, for crying out loud!! The more air holes you have, the more capacity the air pump needs to have to be able to produce the proper amount of air bubbles. Seriously, com'on people, THINK!

Hi sweetheart, I have 2 smaller ones (without remotes) lights are on 24 hours a day...never saw a switch. So my fish will have to sleep with the LED lights on...MF♥
@aquastar43366 жыл бұрын
Michael Firestone they will sleep even with them on but hmm I'd just worry about them being on 24/7. Like maybe overheat or something. I'd personally suggest unplugging the lights at night to let the fish rest + let the light cool off too 🌷
