Nice video win and falls shown for knowledge sharing. Thumbs up. ;-) Nowadays I'm not a big fan of LED in the dashboard. My trials started long ago with the Renault Twingo. Plastic strips of many colors and origins also where tried for different shades/colors. Ex. You want blue color. So had blue strip, but with "yellow" light the result will be green(ish)... Eventually went back to normal bulbs. LOL ;-) Tip 1: Instead of soldering LED, which is a pain in the as.., there are LED's already prepared with the sockets and all. It's a direct replacement, take the normal bulb, put the led. Done. Check polarity. Tip 2: As noticed the round tip LED give a very narrow light beam (spot light). With a rotary tool (Dremel) cut and polish the tip so it becomes flat. That spreads the light beam a lot more... A felt disk on the dremel and a drop of "car polish" gives a perfectly polished surface in less than a minute. The light beam spreads considerably better. Tip 3: When inserting 5 mm LED's. A hole drilled with a 4.8 mm drill bit, makes for a perfect fit without the use of a LED holder. Some hot glue on the back hold it well and can be used as insulator. ;-)

Honestly you are better using original new indancesant bulbs, Led's leave bright spots and uneven shadows on the lcd display The display bulbs blacken through time, it's amazing just how much new bulbs make the display nice again

you should have sanded the lenses of the 5mm diodes flat to soften the light. That way the dots will be more spread to a large surface

It's a much better result if you use the 5058 high brightness white led strip than to use bulbs of any kind.

I dimmed my dash on the push button but it now won't brighten up works perfectly with the lights off, but if i turn the lights on the whole dash goes out, now i cant drive it in the dark, i only bought the car today!

Change all of them as you will be doing this all over again in a few weeks. It only cost about 5 € to buy twenty lamps at a motor factors do not go to the Citroen main dealer the will charge 5 € for each lamp.

Thank you for showing us the mod. The modded colour was red then you changed back to green. Personally I'd prefer Blue so all I have to get blue plastic cut to size and install to make readout blue?

It could work, the electronic version of that also uses 12 volt bulbs, power the 5050 type SMD LEDs with 12v and it should be nice and bright.

Should not handle the bulbs with bare fingers as this reduces the bulb life. All my Picasso bulbs are white and only have 1 cable cluster for the lot. what year is this Picasso? Engine also sounds rough.

Hello ! My left LCD doesn't good works in the middle, and the right doesn't too at the right part, (i can't see the outside temperature and the instant fuel comsuption) The lights works but at very low luminosity, how can i fix it ? i must buy a new LCD ?

At 4:48 the 7812CT is a 12V voltage regulator so that the LEDs won't receive more than 12 volts. It's cheap.

sorry but that looks crap as you can see bright spots and all that soldiering is not needed just get the correct smd led bulbs that fit in the holders that are 360° I. e leds round the sides and it works perfectly with no bright spots

The 5mm magnifying glass LED creates spots, but the 5050 type LED strip is OK. The dashboard clock unit was damaged so the default bulb connectors are not powered anymore.
