Led Display Graduation Cap part 1: Hardware

Working on turning my graduation cap into an led display.

Do you have a schematic for how the teensy was wired to the display?

This is amazingly cool. I am seeing this only three days before my high school graduation which makes me sad I won't be able to put it together in time but I hope that I will remember something like this before my college graduation (a couple years down that road haha)!

I'm building your Graduation hat for my daughter who graduates in December this year. I have all the parts you list but I have a question about the 32x32 Led display. How did you remove the backing plate from the LED display? It appears to be glued the circuit board and i'm hesitant pry it off. Thanks. Jim H.

You have to first remove the plastic on the front of the display to expose the screws holding on the back. There should be very tiny screws on the front face between some of the LED's. There's more than you'd expect, but once you get then all, you can remove the front plate and access the screws to remove the back plate.

By any Chance do you have a schematic of the Teensy , Display panel and Bluetooth all connected together? Sure will save me a lot of time. Also, did you leave the plastic LED mask on the 32x32 display? Thanks. Jim Herrington
