❤️ Great video! Thank you so much for this great info! I’m newly subscribed! I’m wondering regarding retinol or tretinoin type products - do you mean avoid altogether (like for months) or just during the actual led treatment time? Ie: if I did LED in morning is it safe to Use photosensitive products at night?
@TheOrganicEsthetician5 жыл бұрын
Leslie Mills I think it should be fine as long as the Retinol is no longer on the skin. Use LED in the morning and Retinol at night. The more research I’ve done on Retinol shows that it is photosensitive but does not make your skin more photosensitive. It’s interesting all the misconceptions about Retinol that are out there. The more I learn the more I’ve changed my perspective on the ingredient.

I ordered an LED mask with 7 light spectrums. Can't wait for it to arrive. For now, I am using a 1'x1' square full of red LEDs. It's the spectrum for affecting fat. It's challenging to use since it is flat lol. It also blinds you through the eyelids. Awesome info here, as always! Love your work.

Hi, Katie Can I ask: I am using Argireline Matrixyl 3000 Vitamin C serum (contain Hyaluronic Acid), Vitamin C moisturiser and Retinol night cream at the moment for my face wrinkles. If I start to use Nuface trinity ( just bought one), can I use the above serum and retinol cream with /after the treatment? Or is it better to use this serum only in the morning when it’s not in treatment time? Or I shouldn’t use them at all? Can I use the Retinol cream any other time?

You’re videos are so informative; I’m anxiously awaiting my Nuface with ELE attachment. Next Sephora sale I plan on purchasing the light attachment. I use Retin A on a daily basis and have for years. You mentioned that Retin A shouldn’t be used if using the light therapy. Silly question - do you mean the 2 can’t be used at the same time or Retin A should be stopped completely if incorporating the light therapy? Thanks for all your research and experience that you share. I appreciate you very much!
@TheOrganicEsthetician6 жыл бұрын
Sheila DeRooy so Retin A is a synthetic form of vitamin A. It doesn’t fully absorb into the skin and the remaining product sits on the surface. This is the cause of vitamin A sensitivity ( ie. redness, irritation, flaking). I think that you could use the LED attachment on clean skin before putting on the Retin A. Just be mindful that Retin A is photosensitizing and you should be fine. So glad you found my videos helpful!

Hi Katie! Thank you for all your videos and great effort to make them. I follow many of your recommendations and they really work! I've got a question and I haven't seen anyone asking this. The thing is that I'm quite concern about overusing the wrinkle attachment and cause oxidative stress. I've purchased the Everything oil and I wonder if that's a good option to prevent it, I guess this oil doesn't contain Resveratrol or Green Tea extract. Do you think it's a good idea to use this oil or use a different serum for this purpose?
@TheOrganicEsthetician5 жыл бұрын
So you can definitely use the Everything Oil under the light. Another thing you could do is use a vitamin C serum after you use the light. If you get a high percentage L Ascorbic Acid serum with a low pH (like Luzern Labs Serum Absolute V15), it actually stays in the skin up to 24 hrs. So even though you’re not using it at the same time as the light, you’re still getting Antioxidant protection against oxidative stress. Otherwise, look for serums without photosensitizers and with antioxidants to use under the LED. Hope that helps!

Just found your amazing channel as I got a NuFace trinity last week. Great tips on how to use it and you are just lovely to watch. You should invest in a Joovv LED panel instead of this NuFace attachment. I'm sure it works great but so much time to do everything and LED needs to be used daily to see results. I have a full body Joovv LED panel and use the trinity micro current attachment while sitting or standing in front of it. Saves time and reaches your entire face, neck or any other body part. I'm 48 and have seen fine lines and crepey eye skin disappear in the 5 months I've used the led panel. I'm hoping the NuSkin can do the same for my marionette lines and hooded eyes, which I've always had but obviously they are much worse at this age. I'm sure your clients would also love to sit in front of the led panel while being treated. I do not work for or have any affiliation with Joovv, just a satisfied customer even though they are quite expensive. Thanks again for the amazing channel.

As long as the acid has been neutralized, you can do microcurrent after. I’d just skip it if you’re doing deep peels. I personally like to do micro needling on separate days but I’m just really sensitive. Try it post needling and see, then adjust as needed.

I have another question and would love your opinion. I was googling the benefits of LED, because I love seeing before-and-after pictures, and I found a few studies that suggest LED can be used for fat contouring and fat loss/spot reduction. The studies seem to indicate the tools used for fat loss use the same wavelength that is recommended for facial rejuvenation. Eek! The last thing any of us wants is to lose facial volume as we age. When you were researching LED, did you stumble upon anything that seems to indicate that LED treatments can cause facial fat loss? Thank you for any information you can share. Love your channel! xoxoxo
@TheOrganicEsthetician6 жыл бұрын
M. Santos If that is true, it would only refer to infrared light and not traditional LED. Red light, the longest of the color waves, only penetrates into the Dermis. Under the dermis is the hypodermis where subcutaneous tissues reside along w adipose (fat). Also, the NuFace sadly just isn’t that powerful. It’s FDA cleared it for home use. So there’s definitely not a probability of THIS device causing fat reduction.
@m.santos8776 жыл бұрын
Thank you! That's good to know. I got sort of freaked out because the published studies said they were using the same wavelength of LED/LLLT that the facial rejuvenation face masks and handpieces use. Making sense of the scientific jargon is tough for a right-brainer like me. :o) The joovv website also had me confused, as they say their products can help with skin health/rejuvenation *and* weight loss. I want to keep my face as plump as possible! xoxoxo

Just emailed NuFace. About melasma and LED attachment use. This is their response: "While our device is not specifically designed for those who are experiencing melasma, or dark spots, it is not considered a contraindication. I might also suggest using our BRIGHTEN gel primer with your trinity device while performing your treatments with the Facial Head/ELE attachment." I have melasma and have been using LED and Trinity zapping head for 5 days straight now. So far great. Skin texture so amazing, smooth, plump, hydrated... because my skin responds so well to their hydrating primer. Also have gold firm primer that came with the gold Trinity device in the pack. I am allergic to aloe, so will use NuFace ones. Also LED is to be used **Before** zapper spheres, on cleansed skin with **Oil Free** cleanser, bare skin. Then apply conductivity gel of some kind and use the spheres. I leave NuFace hydrating primer overnight...gosh so hydrating and soothing. "You may also use your favorite anti-aging creams or serums with your Wrinkle Reducer."- NuFace representative response. But....not when after using spheres head. And they do say, use LED Before Trinity spheres head.

I love LED Light therapy! Blue and red both have great effects on acne. I know finding things that work is always a challenge and once you find something that works you don't want to stop but .... I'd highly recommend not using Benzoyl Peroxide. While beneficial for treating acne it facilitates action of known carcinogens and can cause DNA damage. And while it kills bacterial overgrowth it also just kills all your microfloral, the good bugs too. I'm not sure if I succeeded in saying that in a non-judgmental non-preachy way. No judgement here. Do what works for you but I really love Niacinamide for breakouts and pre/pro-biotics topically. The red LED will help with inflammation and the Blue will address the specific p.Acnes bacteria in the pore. Hope this helps ❤️

I also heard one can use green tea made from bag tea and spray on face... do you know if this works?
@TheOrganicEsthetician4 жыл бұрын
I think that would make a lovely toner. I'm not familiar with the molecular size or how deep that might penetrate. The benefit of using a serum is that it dives deeper than other types of products. But let's be real, with everything that's happening right now, I'm sure a little green tea topically would be a refreshing antioxidant treat😊

I'm wondering whether the Nuface Light therapy attachment is the same as the Silk'n Titan device , or is it different? I notice the Nuface doesn't require gel but Titan does. Can you advice? I don't want to purchase something that is just doing the same thing. Thanks!
@TheOrganicEsthetician5 жыл бұрын
Iam Coulter the NuFace wrinkle Reducer is just LED light and the Titan is Bi-Polar RF energy, LED light energy and IR heat energy. If you have the Titan, I’d stick with that.

@@TheOrganicEsthetician Thank you SO much. I have been searching for an answer to that question for days. I'm super surprised it doesn't come up more! I have one other inquiry for you. You seem to do Light therapy after microcurrent. Is there a reason for that? My tendency is to do the microcurrent last and I'm wondering if there is a reason to flip it. THANKS!!

Hello! I've been using the LED attachment for about a week and a half. For the first week, the attachment would get a bit warm while using, but not hot. For the past few days, after a fresh charge, it seems to be getting a bit hotter. Not hot enough to burn me, but hot enough that it doesn't feel great and seems to dry out my skin. In your experience, is that normal? Thank you!
@TheOrganicEsthetician6 жыл бұрын
M. Santos mine gets hot too and leaves me a little flushed after each use. I assume this is from the infrared. I’ve been using mine for months and haven’t seen any negative results from this so I feel it’s safe to use. If you’re still questioning if yours might be faulty, I’d reach out to NuFace directly.

Hi! As a former esthetician, I'm impressed by your tutorial. Great explaination! I'm 59 yrs now and recently found the Rejuven LED tool. It has red, blue and green LEDs. I wanted to address neck sagging (red) and sun spots (green). Plus the ultrasonic feature should help with collagen development. Have you tried this tool? What do you think of it in comparison to the NuFace? How do you feel about DermaWand? I'm determined to slow gravity in any way I can!!!
@TheOrganicEsthetician6 жыл бұрын
elizg thank you! I wasn’t familiar with either of those devices. Are you liking the Rejuven? The Dermawand has some mixed reviews. I was confused as to what modality it was. Is it high frequency and radio frequency?

LED was making my skin wrinkled and so dry so I stopped. Then I started putting cacay oil or rosehip oil on first and that made it better. Is this a bad thing? Thank you for helping.

I love all the information and how & why this works! I can’t believe all the info I have learned from 3 of your videos and I am going to watch more. You are so right about not being impatient about seeing results. Surly those lines or problems didn’t show up over night and they aren’t leaving overnight 😢 but that is the reality. Thanks agin for all the detail you provided in your videos. I must also say I would love to see you do some eyeshadow videos as your eye size is my size also and you just don’t see our big open eyes ver often which means you apply things differently. Thanks again!!!!

Have you done a video that gives a breakdown on how you can best incorporate the nuface, newa, nira, high frequency and also led. They are so many devices! What the best protocol to maximize your results? Can you use them every day together??thank you!!
@TheOrganicEsthetician4 жыл бұрын
I can make a video like that. I don't use the nira or at home laser but I can give you the breakdown below. Also, RF (Newa) and red LED can be interchangeable if you want to just incorporate one of these. LEd has other benefits too just depends on what you're looking for. In order of use: Gua Sha LED NEWA Microcurrent Foreo UFO Enercharger I'm going to write a blog post that explains what concern each device addresses so you're able to look up the device by concern. Not everyone needs ALL of these gadgets just depends on what you're trying to achieve.

@@TheOrganicEsthetician thank you! I would love to see that. I just turned 45 so I think I need everything lol. I wish I started the nuface a long time ago! @@TheOrganicEsthetician I had this crazy experience with my high frequency device last night. I got a really bad, big like 8 inches, bruise on my leg a couple days ago and it is still really swollen. I heard the HF device can promote healing, so I thought it couldn’t heard to try, so I used one of the attachments on it and it was unbelievable! Almost like erasing the bruise off of my body. The swelling went down a ton and the black & blue lightened up soooo much!

What does the intensity light setting on face mask do, increase the nanos if I'm saying that right. So if you don't use on the highest setting it isn't going too depth of 600 in your skin layers? And what does the blinking do, besides drive me nuts?

Great tutorial, excellent information. When I called new face to ask a few questions she told me that they recommend doing the LED before the microcurrent on clean Skin without product or gel. I would think it was be the other way around like you're recommending so I was surprised.
@TheOrganicEsthetician5 жыл бұрын
Kelly Bonanno That’s understandable. The only reason I’ve suggested using a product under LED is due to the research I’ve seen. Traditionally, LED is used on bare skin. Ultimately, you just want to make the device work for your routine so that you’re actually using it. You do you! 🤗
