Very nice man well done... just an advice... if you have CNC you can route a line of 40mm on back of your piece to make the connections, then you can cover up with a piece of 3mm pvc so the bottom turn clear without the wires making volume ;) ...oh use heat shrink tube for the connections instead of papper tape eheheh

pretty cool, id almost make a template to cut a channel in the back with a template guide spiral upcut on the back and put a piece of acm or a backer. ----000----- channel with a depression to hide the wires. love this, gonna have to try it out.

i cut groove like he does, then at the ends of each letter i cut a hole all the way through and connect all my wiring the same way he does. if it is an opaque acrylic then it doesn't have to be pretty on the back. if it is clear acrylic then it has to been cleaner looking tracing each led strip with the wiring glued right behind it. I cover the back with a vinyl wrap to cover the wiring on the back. I have also done as you mentioned. routed out a very light channel in the back behind each letter to match the same channel as the front.

Can I ask what led neon you are using? Also do you have to cut it at a specified length or can you cut it where ever you desire?

The light is Neon flex .. we need to cut at a specified length which is every 1 inch in his strip. According to the length of letters and cut we need to design the letters in the software .

@@edhermartinez9932 yes we have to design every letter. eg.for letter T: The horizontal portion will 2 inch and the vertical portion will be 3inch . So on basis of that we have to design and cut the strip. The neon strip which he is using has cut on every inch so according to the size which we require we can make a cut or make design in the cad software .

There's a black dot where you cut it that's where the connectors are There's a negative and a positive Cut the silicone on both ends of this connection can also buy clips that can join the pieces drill a small hole close to the Letter then run the wires behind it and then backup on the other side to conjoin your next piece.

Hi I would like to know how you set the brush stroke thickness of each letter in font to the thickness of the Neon flex light to say 6/8mm for example in Illustrator Also the same method should be doable in a co2 laser right ?

You can't laser PVC (or Sintra) But yes... you can use acrylic and do basically the same thing. The stroke thickness is 14pts that snugly fits the 6x12 mini-flex neon.

Can you please explain why you are able to have a successful project when you cut the strip just any length as needed for your design.. while accordingly, the right spot to cut led neon strip is right on the cut mark in order not to have a failed connections..?

Het cuts the neon strip on the marked length (every inch) and if you look carefully you see him trim the silicone to the exact design length, but not the led strip itself. He fold it inwards and tuks it into the silicone.

You can use adobe illustrator , insert the image and transform it to the size you’ll like. Then you draw on top of the letters and afterwards click on document info in the view tab , this tool will help you measure the length of the drawing you made on top of the letter . Adjust making bigger or smaller words for them to measure 2.5 cm multiples and you are ready to go.

@@armandogalvan1525 Actually, this isn't the whole truth: It would be impossible to find a font such that all letter segments are a multiple of 25mm. The trick is shown in the video, if you look very carefully at 11:38-11:52 (use slow speed): If he needs a segment whose lenght is not a multiple of 25mm, he cuts on the next 25mm boundary and then he "strips" the tube and folds the extra length back, inserting it in the plastic sleeve!!! He is very good at it and thus can adjust the length to about every 6mm, which is enough to make the strips fit anywhere!!!

OK The sign is cool - and for "quick an dirty" ok. But the electrics....... u can do this better :-) . A suggestion: why arent u making "ways" for the cabels on backside and a thin plate to hide the electric?
