I was there, May 2014. for my sons graduation. WOW, such a great performance put on with Jimmy Page being honored. Memory that will never be forgotten.

What an amazing performance ! No pressure, it's just the amazing guitar master Jimmy page. In audience ! What a loving tribute ! I never wish Robert was 19 again, only can't wait for the next fantastic thing he does musically....his musical explorations benefit us all. This all goes to show, how truly amazing led Sep was and is

Listening, these guys and gals are all fantastic musicians, but you also realize how unique page and zeppelin were and how hard it is to approximate them

He sang all of that better than any live performance I've ever seen Robert plant do, great vocal range and energy you were all fantastic, kudos to the drummer, the ladies both beautiful and talented, two lefty guitarist playing two of my favorite guitars, the acoustic piece, such a great job all of you, what an honor it must have been for Jimmy to watch you all playing his music so well, I bet you punched him in the heart❤️ as a long time Zeppelin fan it was a joy to witness this, thanks for this and the very best of luck to you all in your musical futures👍🏼✌🏼️

Only a few notes of the originals, I guess quite a bit of improvising, or running around stage to much.

The SG with the P90s was a good idea as Most people will know that Jimmy had coil switches on his Les paul !!

Appreciate that these guys did this...but some of that guitar work was like purposely technically sloppy, it's like they think that's Pages style or something? Jimmy was always very, very precise in the studio, and although he had some rough performances in later years, he had a hell of a lot of great ones.

lol ever heard the Heartbreaker studio solo its very sloppy but the sloppiness is so important ;-)

Maddie got short shrift on the guitar parts. I think it's because she's right handed LOL! The vocalist and drummer were incredible too.

Maddie and the drummer. That's about it. And yeah, they didn't get any time to get propper shred time.

Maddie and the drummer are the most talented people on the stage. The dipsh*t with the sg needs to just....

Seems like most of the guitarists were focusing more on showmanship than actually wanting to play well. Jimmy could do both. I noticed the woman playing guitar sounded best because she wasn't trying to play and run around on stage. And the singer was just cringe from beginning to end.
@peterhaas4472 жыл бұрын
You’re right the singer Was pretty cheesy he took too many privileges with the song I mean if you seen the iconic woman you need it and he said baby. come on don’t really talk to my Berkeley
@peterhaas4472 жыл бұрын
The whole song is about worshiping women and he couldn’t even say that word woman

The guitar playing is dire. The intro HMMT riff is enough to turn off

Wait...is this Berklee, as in Berklee College of Music? The school that produced the likes of Donald Fagen, Bruce Hornsby, and Bill Frisell? The musical utopia where Pat Metheny famously mentored (at age seventeen) protégés such as Mike Stern? A lot of the solos here sound like disjointed noise. Disappointed. :-
@emilyjohnson88084 жыл бұрын
Sounded like a train wreck. The singer should have just sang and not ried to mimic Planty. Some of the guitar work was not great.
@adifferentkindofanidiot22152 жыл бұрын
Ofc he can sing, that's Axl Rose
@sicotshit70687 ай бұрын
You would think playing in front of Jimmy Page, they’d have tried harder, Jimmy really didn’t look that impressed. By about their age, Jimmy had founded Led Zeppelin, he didn’t have any formal training either. I’m guessing these students didn’t decide in college, hey I’m going to play guitar, they should have been far better. The singer pretending to be Axle Rose, & not really knowing the words, Axle wished he was Robert Plant.
