This concert took place at the Sydney Fairgrounds in Australia. It set an attendance record that I think still stands today more than 50 years ago. Let that sink in for a minute.

Jimmy Page just turned 80 on Jan. 9th. He's still handsome and is very distinguished looking. I saw LZ in 1970. This past July I saw Robert with Alison Krauss. He's still going strong. And thankfully, so am I. 😅 We are blessed to still have them here to enjoy. A lot of them didn't make it.

I've realized just recently just from seeing the news that SO many great musicians were not only Capricorns, but born in January!. Rod Stewart, Bowie, Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, obviously JPJ and Jimmy, Michael Stipe, Mick Taylor, even Dolly Parton--and more! Party On!😎🤘

Back in the day, radio pretty much refused to play anything longer than 3 minutes. But bands like this caused that to change and FM radio took over and started playing all the stuff our parents didn't want us to hear. A pretty common joke was that when the DJ put a long song on meant he was in the bathroom..........

This live version is actually close to a minute longer than the album cut. Jimmy added a little extra guitar at the end for this live performance. There are so many my favorite is "Kashmir". There's 2 great versions one from '75, when the album came out, and one from '06 with Jason Bonham on drums.

The second concert I went to was Led Zeppelin in January 1975. Loved them ever since. As for my favorite Zeppelin song, it changes like the weather. Today it’s ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’, last week it was ‘Bring It On Home’ and tomorrow it may be ‘No Quarter’ or ‘In My Time Of Dying’. I’m just an old, long-haired stoner that loves rock, blues and funk music. 👽

This song was used in 2 movies you might be familiar with, School of Rock and Thor Ragnarok. It was also used in a Shrek episode. Based on your comments about long hair, Jimmy Page, and ending the song with a guitar solo, I'm going to suggest a song for a future reaction. It's called I Can't Quit You Babe (Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1970) Official Video. It is a great song, ends in a fabulous guitar solo preceded by a great John Bonham drum solo, Jimmy had very long hair at the time, they were all very young and looked different, and you will definitely love Robert in this performance. In a nutshell it is a classic early led Zeppelin performance, which are different from what you have seen so far. Great reaction and it's always a joy for us early Led Zeppelin fans to watch someone from your generation enjoy Led Zeppelin so much.

U said u wished this had lasted longer. If you want a nice, long one, "In my time of dying" from 1975 Earl's Court is over ten minutes, and the slow build-up at first has some of Robert's most charismatic moments ever, imo. "The Ocean," which u may have seen the "ad" for on the screen at the end of "Immigrant," is only 5 or so minutes, but it is super fun-n-funky, a very "feelgood" song! Your reaction/comments about the "zooming cameraman showing no mercy" were hilarious, haha! In "The Ocean," he shows Zero Mercy, lol!

Looking at the crowd shows a lot of people in attendance. Led Zeppelin always played the sold-out shows! In 1979 Led Zeppelin's performance at the Knebworth Festival had around 200,000 concertgoers in attendance. That's a lot of people all gathered in one place at one time to see a concert! Their shows sold out quickly. There were usually a lot of people who sadly missed out, when tickets were no longer available, due to being sold out. I was fortunate enough to get to see them perform about five songs off of every Led Zeppelin album, live. Robert Plant's voice seemed even better live than on any recording I've ever heard of him.

I love how you have a crush on Robert and find the rest of the band easy on the eyes as well. Plus loving their talent and the way they play. They are a really talented band with so much different kinds of songs from acoustic to hard rock to blues to songs about English myths, ect. They were very intelligent songwriters and the band was actually the GOATs of each instrument they played and Robert is seen as the best or second best (he goes back and forth) with Freddie Mercury of Queen. for vocalist. they were really a very gifted band. One I think you might enjoy is s very early Zeppelin from right after they became a group and that is You Shook Me. There is a good live video of it. Also Trampled Underfoot and the Ocean and Misty Mountain Hop. And when the Levee Breaks is a must.

Jimi page is a true legend. I know what I'm gunna say will get a lot of criticism, but I prefer him to Jimi Hendrix. slash is my all time greatest player bar none. true class. honest playing with no gimmicks or tremelo bars, just him and his trusty les paul, which is also the greatest guitar ever made. I love starts, but there's something about the Gibson. the double twin humbuckers still take some beating for sound quality. even today. I know there a technically more advanced guitars, but there's something about the les paul that makes it the best.🎉
