My band. My favorite band since I was a teen and I am now a grandma. I still rock out to Zeppelin. They are the 4 GOATs. To play and listen to and be introduced to their music is pure pleasure and a rabbit hole you never want to leave. They are so diverse and creative and engaging. And the best of the best to this day

I was at the Bath Festival in summer 1970 when Led Zeppelin played this live for the first time. They had only written it a couple of days before and the song would not be released for another 3 months yet they opened their set with it even though no one there, or anywhere, had ever heard it. Nonetheless we all went mad because, as you have just heard, it is the hammer of the gods and hits you right between the ears the very first time! ;)

Saw Zeppelin at Knebworth '79 just jaw dropping! At the time we had a Yin and Yang of Rock in the form of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd If Zeppelin was a brilliant pure bright white, Floyd were darkest black. Both British, both perfectionist and both head and shoulders above everyone else. Check out Led Zeppelin "Since I've Been Loving You" live at Madison Square Gardens 1973 great lighting and the audience go wild. Or for completely an opposite experience Pink Floyd "Echoes (Part 1)" live at Pompeii 1972 No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods

Classic performance live by one of the greatest rock bands in history, if not the best; Seeing Robert Plant deliver such deep/powerful vocals is a sheer pleasure, absolutely awesome; Plus we get the added bonus of the peerless Emma reacting with such charm/passion and energy, using her Musical knowledge to make some savvy points, I just loved the aside about the control of the tongue in reaching certain notes, and as an added bonus, Emma is always so enchantingly beautiful, can we now add, Emma = Rock chick; 🦅🥰😍🙏👏👍🙏🎶🎵🎶🎧🎙🍵🍁🍁🦅. Interested to hear you say Emma that you like tales to do with Vikings; I hope these small snippets of info may be of some interest to you; My Home Nation of Scotland received the Shetland and Orkney Islands as a wedding gift to Scotland in 1472(20/02/1472), when King James 111 married a Danish princess; Every year on the last Tuesday of January, Lerwick holds Up Helly ah( Viking fire festival), culminating in a replica Viking long boat being set alight; Although the Vikings never really settled in Scotland, being more raiding parties round the coast, Normandy in France is one area the Vikings did settle, Normandy meaning, '' North Man's land''. Lastly, Valhalla, the meeting place for slain warriors on their way to Asgard.

Hi Emma, sorry for the long comment, but it is worth it. There is a hole in your catalogue. The GOAT vocalist out of Australia, the man so great (and humble) he is simply known locally as The Voice, the man Celine Dion herself describes as her idol, John Farnham. I’ll try to give you the best introduction to him. “You’re the Voice” is the best place to start. As Australia’s unofficial pub anthem, every Aussie will sing along when it comes on, and it should lead any motivational playlist. 😊 Look for the live version with he Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Just keep a close eye on that mic stand in the video! “Help” is possibly the greatest rearrangement of any song ever (including Disturbed’s “Sound of Silence” and Johnny Cash’s “Hurt”). If you don’t know the original by The Beatles or if it’s just been a while, check it out first for comparison (much better than hearing them the other way around). If you like stage presence and someone who works the audience, Farnsy delivers. The best version, again, is with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (it must have been an amazing show to attend, and this was an incredible encore) Finally, “When something is wrong with my baby” by John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes (or just Farnsy and Barnsy if you want to sound Aussie) is some of the best crooning, soulful music you will ever be privileged to hear. It’s also a great segue into Cold Chisel (Barnsy’s band), though once you’re down the John Farnham rabbit hole it may be a while till you emerge. Look for the live version of this with additional guitar and vocals by Aussie/American legend Johnny Diesel on GlenSuperdude’s channel. This is just the start, you can explore further with “Age of Reason” or “Pressure Down” or any of his other songs later, but I really think you’ll get the best start with those 3 songs in that order.😊 🇦🇺 Lots of love from the land down under ❤️

I think western shore actually refers to England's eastern shore, which was to the west of the viking homelands.

Robert Plant said the song was about their trip and concert in Iceland in 1970, using the vikings experiences a metaphor for their own experience. He said he and Page considered it humorous and were surprised when fans thought it was a serious telling of Viking history. He talked about writing it in several interviews. I was in the Navy stationed in Iceland when that concert took place. Very disappointed I had duty that weekend and couldn't get anyone to trade a duty day with me because everyone who was off duty that day went to the concert. And then I had to listens to stories about how great the huge party was after the concert that they invited the whole audience to!

So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on KZbin. 😀
