BECOME A PATRON TO GET SONGS/TABS: www.patreon.com/coversolutions Sorry for some mistakes reading, specially on the fast parts. This is a highly improvised line so i had to read lots of different fills. Managing to do that correctly in one take can be very hard. I'm quite certain of what's in the tab though, and i also encourage you to not learn it by heart, but to take what you can for your own use and improvisation. Any of the fills will be good to use in the context of the same chord notated above, and specially on any other blues. Anyways, let me know if it's good enough and leave any question on the comments. Thanks

I've heard that John Paul Jones recorded this in one take as it was a common jam section of their live shows that they frequently played before it was ever recorded.
@rap2xtrooper87829 күн бұрын
He probably was pressured to record it in as little takes as possible too - Led Zeppelin II was recorded while the band was on tour in the US, with the tapes being recorded and produced during the band's free time in various scattered studios all over America. JPJ probably just went to the studio one day, perhaps after playing a 2 or 3 hour concert the night before, and just casually laid down this track without thinking too much about it.
@jamesmotlagh18332 жыл бұрын
First of all, this tutorial was masterfully done! How do you even begin to transcribe such a complicated piece? Bravo! Secondly, ever since the first time I heard the Lemon Song, I always gravitated to hearing only the bass line which was so complex and yet mesmerizing. I almost forgot the rest of the instruments (unbelievable solo by Page). How did Jonesy ever come up with this? It's pure genius! I can listed to it over and over all day every day and not get tired.

I like that you use open strings in your playing. In a lot of tabs and "covers", it seems to me the musicians go out of their way to make sure every note is fretted, when the judicious use of an open string can ease playing considerably.
@theabsolute232 жыл бұрын
I think it’s a beginner friendliness thing. Beginners in general don’t use the open strings a ton for fills and whatnot because they’re not usually super aware of the key or which open strings are applicable to the key they’re playing in, so fretted notes feel safer

That lick at 1:23 on Bar 28 is beautiful, but I believe John hits G sharp not G natural. That is the 13th fret on the G string rather than the 12th. Really helps the line sing out with joy that note

It means you play it staccato... or short. Basically if it's an eighth note staccato you're really playing a 16th note followed by a 16th note rest. It's just an easier way of notating it so your bar isn't full or rests.
