Backdoor man was an old expression. It referred to Jody hitting the backdoor when big daddy came home to momma. Doors "Back door Man," Allman Brothers in 'One Way Out," and Led Zepplin's "Since I've Been Loving You" are just 3 examples.

If you want to hear more of their heavy blues-based stuff, give a listen to songs like I Can't Quit You Baby, The Lemon Song, You Shook Me, Since I've Been Loving You, Bring it On Home just to name a few. You definitely won't be sorry if you do. Led Zeppelin was the best rock band there has ever been, heavy on the blues although they also incorporated other genres into their music (jazz, rockabilly, soul, country, funk). Definitely not a one trick pony band. This song is track 1 of album 2 and was recorded in 1969. Singer Robert Plant was 20, as was drummer John Bonham, bassist and keys John Paul Jones was 22 and guitarist and producer Jimmy Page was 24, but the film of performances covers concerts during the 1970s, not from the 1980s as Led Zeppelin disbanded that year after the unexpected death of the drummer. Double-neck guitar, 12 strings on top, 6 on bottom, tuned different ways to get different sounds depending on the song. Nice reaction, I enjoyed that, although stereo kept fading in and out. Edit: Subbed in hopes you do a dive into Zeppelin's music.

I think the "back door man" shows up after the husband goes to work. She doesn't want the husband or the neighbors to see him. They could also be using it as a double entendre, as you said, knowing them. The Doors sang a song "Back Door Man," also. I think it's an old blues song, maybe Robert Johnson or somebody.

That's what was up in Junior High back in 1977 when we called that HS dude from the phone on my friend's kitchen wall and asked if he had any reefer we could get before school. Whole lotta love wasn’t made for stereo headphones, it was made surround sound! Great review guys. This was off their second album. Start with Led Zeppelin I, song 1 Side one. and go from there. Or go with these... Good Times Bad Times, Heartbreaker/Livin Loving Maid, What is and What Should Never Be, Ramble On, Ten Years Gone, Gallows Pole, Battle of Evermore, Goin to California, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Hey Hey What Can I Do, Immigrant Song. All excellent. Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were studio Musicians before Led Zeppelin and Jimmy was in the Yardbirds before Zep also. Yardbirds songs of notoriety were Heartfull Of Soul, Over, Under, Sideways, Down, Shapes of Things. Over Under Sideways Down has a very distinct 60's British Invasion groove to it and is one of my all time favorites. I'm an encyclopedia when it comes to that era and as i watch your reactions I'll help to steer you to the really good stuff.

Okay kiddos, Those are called instruments. Where there is real music there is Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin has sold OVER 300 MILLION ALBUMS (NOT singles but ALBUMS). That is unheard of. Period. Todays standards are so low with autotune, machines, effects and drama for sales that they celebrate if they sell just 20 million singles. This is when you had quality music or real music. Instruments and a singer with talent. Real talent. Led Zeppelin had a reunion concert in their older age of around 70s recently. The concert venue only had 18,000 seats and 20 million people applied to get a ticket. Yep. 20 million people just to see old men play. Google it! When they perform today they still sound the same. Jimmy page is the lead guitarist and known to be the best guitarist of all time so Im not sure how you play guitar and not know that (lol) but you do now! John Bonhan (rip) is the best drummer ever and Led Zeppelin is the best rock band in the history of music. The numbers dont lie. Robert Plant the singer is a beast and every girl in the 70s had their posters on their walls. Shit, every guy did too. Very true. You see their name all over even today. Oh, and JayZ listens to LZ. Did you know that? Helloooo! The reason they sound bluesy is because they were notoriously influenced by old iconic blues singers which they emphasize often in interviews.. Led Zeppelin is in 2 music genres, Rock and rock/blues. This song is very early 70s ( I cant remember the exact year but I think 1972 or 3). They have a lot of hits. Their most popular is Stairway to Heaven then others like Black Dog, Cashmere, Immigrant song, Oh forget it... Theyre all hits. Led Zeppelin fans will roast you to death you say the wrong thing about LZ. You think Beyonce and Taylor Swift have a cult? Theyd run. Led Zeppeli'ns cult is astronomical. And seeing thats literally more than half the planet Id be careful lol. Its a pretty big one. Im sure your hits went up when u posted Zeppelin. Im in LZ's cult too 😊 Its what made me click. And you aint seeing Led Zeppelin t-shirts being worn everywhere by young people because theyre cute. So welcome to Zepville. Congrats!
