@@stevendeary502 from what I read, Maglite had the first LED flashlight. I remember the time when 60 lumens in the regular bulb was a big deal. The LED bulbs opened up a whole new world. I still feel like a kid with the excitement of using my flashlight daily.

@@stevendeary502 my wife had junk as lights until I finally gave her some actual good tactical lights and showed how they can be used even when the sun is out and they still make a great striking weapon. I've traveled to Asia for many years and I WANTED them not only for lights and weapons, but traffic there is insane in many countries so I wanted to be sure I was seen at night walking along those roads. Glad you helped you girlfriend. She owes you.

Re: backup mode. Based on that graph and based on an old Ledlenser I have, I'm fairly certain that that mode means that when the battery hits 25%, it'll go into a weak light output mode to extend the time you can use the flashlight. That's a very useful feature to have if you're out somewhere without possibility to charge, and don't realise your battery is running empty. So rather than leaving you with no light at all, you will still get probably dozens of hours at a reduced output. My old Ledlenser doesn't have any on/off for this feature, but will automatically reduce output to extend battery life.

I had a P5 that was my inspection light many years ago. I bought this one because how well the last one served me. This light seems a bit underwhelming when compared to my other lights at similar price from the likes of Wuben and Thrunite. The UI also does not seem intuitive . Thanks for the review; agree with what you say. My general point would be that lights should go from dim to bright, not from bright to dim. If you want bright, it doesn't hurt to start dim and get to bright after a couple of clicks. If you want dim, but have to go through bright first, you've negated what you wanted - dim. It's good that I can reprogram the P6R to do what I'm suggesting, dim first, then bright. But even better if that had been the default.

I need help, I switched to one of the special lighting modes and when I want to go back to the three factory power levels, how can I go back to that mode?

I have the signature version and I like the switch selection ring for selecting output levels. I wish they had a signature version of the p5r

Is the LedLenser P6R Core a strong, durable, bright and good quality torch?

This has great special modes a longer battery due to the lower output. But both would be fine

Both brands are quality and work very well. I do, however like the interface of the Fenix better. But I like the build quality of Ledlenser better

Help me please, when I try to turn the light on, the button just for a second flashes green, otherwise nothing happens. I’ve tried resetting it multiple times, nothing changes, tried taking the battery out, nothing happens.. It’s fully charged. Would be very grateful for an answer 😀

No your'e not going crazy. It was my missus who was listing them to sell. But she actually lost access to her Markertplace because of the word Holster that one of the torches came with. So ridiculous. Dont like it. Only solid light they have is regular pr7.
