Hi, David from Ledyatt here. I just wanted to thank Steven and John. Superb customers, brilliant anglers, and great company. We all enjoyed this video. I felt your excitement and was rooting for you with that big Blue. So pleased you went for dries. I'm a lover of traditional fly fishing and when you gain confidence, it's unbeatable. Thank you for travelling so far 🙏 Thank you for an incredible, informative and inspiring video. Big up to Andrew Buffton and his sensational selection of Cdc patterns. David.

I am 70 now and have fished all my life for pure wild brownies , in wee spate burns as a kid, graduating to hill lochs as I got older. The type of so called fishing depicted in this video does absolutely nothing for me, although I do appreciate this type of fishery does provide a very valuable resource for the uninitiated. In fact bring on more of these ponds, as it will help protect our natural resources. My wee bit of advice to all new fly fishers would be to keep you casting short and delicate, trying to throw huge long casts just scares the fish. Also play the fish on the reel nice and gently. Trying to yank them out of the water as if sea fishing with a boat rod is not the way to go. I will probably get a lot of negative comments on this, but if you have had a 3 pound wild brownie on a screaming reel on a West Highland hill loch you may well agree on my take of things. Tight lines to all.

Loved the video and the dries taking fish off the surface , just subscribed to your channel, Ledyatt is a top notch fishery with the best team of hosts you could ever come across. Booked another trip up from Wales in a couple of weeks, will try some CDC’s on the surface .

What line are you using today, you picked a good spot there, some cracking fish. How long did it take you to drive up there, from say, Dare Valley or Caerphilly. were you up and down in one day or did you have a stop over, ha, a stop over it was then Great video (as usual) Penblwydd Hapus butty.

Hi mate all the dry fly fishing was with the Celestial Comet floating line which was a big help punching the small dry fly out at range in the wind. With the lures i had the DI3 arflo sinker and the washing line set up i had the blue on was the 40+ airflo intermediate line 👍👍 It was a good 8hr drive from bridgend and we stopped a few times to stretch the legs nice easy drive though. We stayed in a local premier inn after fishing and then drove home the next day 👍
