This song was brand new when I left my 16-year-old in intensive care after an overdose. I prayed all night and when I returned in the morning he was back to his crazy self❤ he’s 37 now, married with kids of his own. And he’s such a good daddy! and he dances with them. ❤🙏🏻🕊

Dear Patty, that so wonderful, crying happy tears that your son is "back to his crazy self" & being "such a good daddy!".. bravo & bless him, & you all, that he dances with his kids (&wife too I guess) .. I've had difficulty dancing since my Mum died from brain tumour 9 years ago, & other things that happened.. I was told about this song - I'd never heard it - as a message from her.. I'm learning to dance again .. 💗💕💫🙏💃💃💃💃💃💖

@@manyBlessings2all yes, dances with his wife too! ♥️ but crazy hardcore dances with his sons. 🤣 I am sorry for the loss of your Mum. I know that pain also, 21 year anniversary this year for mine and my beloved husband passed right after. My Mama was there when my 16 year old son was in ER following his overdose. He looked her in the eyes and said “I’m sorry Grandma.” Seeing her hurt was one of the things that helped him to stop his destructive behavior.. and God 🙌🏻🙏🏻♥️ truly probably ALL GOD.

@@pattywaters4269 Thank you Patty🙏✨️ 💖 blimey, bless your heart, to part from your Mum & also husband💔 so close together. So sooo glad your son decided to stay, & that your Mum helped him to do that - maybe showing him the hurt in her eyes was God's way to communicate😍❤️🙏💫

This song....I am watching the first episode of Love is Blind season 4 right now and this song was mentioned. And when it was mentioned, it was from a woman to her son. I wanted to check it out. My heart is broken from getting emotional and sad that she's gone now. A woman who gave this song to her son was definitely a gem. And no one noticed that. I dedicate this comment to that sweet woman who raised a deep and intellectual son the best she could. God bless her and her son

I had my daughter when she was an early teen to listen to this song and read the lyrics. It's not about a "dance" but about life, taking chances, living. As she grew older I would remind her from time to time about this song because she as a early teen was somewhat shy, and not very out going. Her Dad was never there for her, and when I became her Step Dad when she was 11 we just bonded incredibly. She was mine from that day forward. So fast forward to 2018 at her beautiful wedding, it became time for the Daddy/Daughter dance and she played this song for us. I'm sitting here at work now, writing this in tears. More so than I cried during that dance, because she embraced this song, and has lived her life in that manner. Very special song for me. I just sent it to her in a email.

I’m sorry to read your pain in losing your grandma & having regret 😢. I lost my grandpa from complications of Alzheimer’s when I was 16 (almost 33 now). The last time I saw him he was in a home & he was unable to do anything but stare whilst in a bed. I walked out because of heartbreak. He used to take all the grandkids on bike rides. Make beef jerky for us, take us shopping, jacuzzi dates in the backyard etc. & then there he was… lifeless. It was way too much for me to except so I walked out & a few days later he passed. I always regretted walking out. Making that our last memory. But I assure you, think on how sweet your grandma was & understanding. She knew you didn’t possess all the tools to handle such cruel life change that happens sometimes. Don’t beat yourself up, please. For yourself, forgive. If I’m the future you’re faced w/ something that is too much, think back on how you wish you would’ve done differently w your grandma & execute it. Don’t forget God is always w you & there to help. I pray your heart gets lighter. Life is tough, but w God all things are possible! Love you sister🤍

My mom just passed away on June 27th of this year from a long battle with metastatic breast cancer in the 4th stage. I lost my best friend. I am so heartbroken. This song is one that she would always dedicate to me. It feels cheesy and 90's now but its a perfect song for a mother to a daughter or child. Hug your mom and tell her how grateful you are for her and please be patient and learn as much as you can, even when you want to be more independent. I miss her so much. She never let on how much she was struggling, as a mom she didn't want us to worry about her. She was the best mom. 💞

It's crazy how much a song can mean to a person without the artist even knowing. My mum has always wanted to be a singer and she'd sing this song to my brother and I when we were children. I'm 24 now and he's 19. I weep every time I hear this song and think about all the great memories my mummy has given us. Thankfully, I still have her here now, but I know that when she's taken up to Heaven that this song will be one of the few things keeping me going.

It is a song that has lifted my spirit. I was feeling so low because of the many tribulations I have faced. Thanks to this beautiful song because now I know what to do... that I should give faith a fighting chace. Cheers to Zack and Bliss for your beautiful story and I pray your marriage life be as blissful and wonderful as you two.

Why didn't I ever realize that this song has amazing lyric before? Thanks to LIB, I listened again and it made me cry... These words are exactly what my dad used to tell me when I feel down. Miss you tons, dad. ❤ He used to give me great advice. Family is everything. Tell them how much you love them before it's too late and call them every chance you get just to hear their voice.

OH, this was one of the most beautiful songs I heard when it was brand new on the radio when I was 12, I couldn't believe it, I fell in LOVE with it! I adore these lyrics and the instrumentals and her voice SO MUCH and I had absolutely no idea who she was:):) Then I heard it in the episode of Any Day Now when M.E. found out Kelly was pregnant and Collier wouldn't escort her at the homecoming...:(

I started singing this song for my best friend years ago, then he turned around and sung it to me. To have a friend who lives these lyrics and pray you do so too is such an incredible blessing. I love Jesus so much. 💕

The woman who raised me dedicated this to me as my birth song... I always took her love as a given and and protection as a burden. I ran away from home back when i was 18 and a half... I'm 23 now and I just started to understand why she was that way and what she genuinely wanted for me. I love you Sheri and I'm so sorry that I rejected and betrayed you. We don't speak anymore but just know I am finally become the man you always wanted me to be. I am at peace in life, I'm doing healthy and no longer sitting it out, but dancing.

I'm a mom who hears this song that played it for both my daughters. Right now my oldest daughter is not speaking with me and is in a group home. In a year and half she'll be 18. I hope that she chooses to change her mind someday. Now I cry when I hear it cause I still wish the same things for her.

Dear Sam, please find Sheri & repair your connection, it's so precious, and not to waste more time being estranged.. you sound a fine character & it's understandable you needed time to find your own dancing feet but now you have I imagine she'd love to see you dancing, and to dance with you. Thank you for sharing your experience and feelings and words to her.. inspiring.. I miss my Mum so much (she died unexpectedly some years ago) .. I am learning to dance again but it feels hard

I sing or hum this to my niece from birth and she’s now 2, I want her to grow up with the tune ingrained in her heart and soul so she’ll remember me forever, I’m not sure how long I’ll be around as health isn’t the best and I don’t know if I’ll see her wedding day or her own children but I just hope as she grows and remembers our times, she has this song to take a few moments and think of me and her fondly, I couldn’t love her more if she’d been born from me, Seren, Dance my darling girl, never stop dancing baby xxxxxxx

This song hits hard. I did not have loving parents to tell me these words; so I tell myself these words. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself.❤I replace the "you" with "I"and sing it to myself.

My mom had a brain injury and was vegetative for 6 months. Against all odds, she is awake, conscious and can enjoy her family. She is the same person with the same memories. But unfortunately she cannot walk or speak. Her mom sent me this song to play for her and she sang it and started crying. She used to have so much life. I hope she dances again one day.

Every year in my high school chorus, during the spring concert we’d perform a song just for the seniors. They would go to the back of the auditorium and start singing with the rest of the choir singing the background vocals. Halfway through the song the seniors slowly walked toward the front while singing. This song was my senior song, and the last song I sang in high school chorus which was honestly my favorite part of high school. So this song brings back lots of good memories ☺️
