I like it! It occurred to me that if your phone's calculator app has a memory function that you can save with a name, you can save your 'powder factor' (I just made that up) with a name such as TAC, in the future if you are using TAC for a different load you can recall your powder factor and simply multiply it by your desired charge weight. The default calculator app on my Pixel phone will not save values in memory, but when I searched 'calculator with memory function' in the Play Store one of the top results was Mobi Calculator w/o Ads. It let me save a memory 'With A Note'. Bingo!

@@76Highboy i just went down to my reloading bench and set mine up and checked it out. Your math works flawlessly. I did run into one issue though. and maybe you can help. I got it on ebay and the micrometer is off by about .5 CC. Bottoms out in the cylinder when it's showing .5. Was wondering if there's a way to calibrate the mic.

@MrJH1959 I don't believe there is. One rule of thumb for me is if I am anywhere close to max, I hand in charge and hand weight each one. Highboy

@76Highboy I discovered what was wrong with mine. Someone had taken it apart and didn't get the indicator bar pressed all the way back on. I took it apart and refit everything and now I'm golden. Within a few grains on every charge. Like you, I "trust but verify". Check weigh each one. Only takes a second.

Hi. I was looking for an explanation. The user manual for the lee gives your micrometer calibration by powder but it is wildly wrong. I had to buy a digital scale to make sure that my charge weight was correct. I was off in some cases by 20 grains. So in your video are you suggesting that we should always do a max charge and find that micrometer calibration number?

That does it I'm ordering one after xmass. I use the perfect powder measure but it's a pain to adjust when it starts to get cooler witch is when I do most of my reloading.

I just charge and way thats it! If i need less i adjust with charge handle down! If i need more i adjust either way it won't matter! But when I charge i throw a few before I except what I want!

Easy. Take the max. mic. reading and divide that by the charge weight. Then, divide by the charge weight you want to throw. That will give you the initial mic. setting. Highboy

Back assward! He's compressing a charge already in the charge tube. Note, the charge loads the drum when the lever is down.
