I know Malaysian and Indonesian fans love the game but when they constantly scream whenever their favourite player hits the shuttle, it's incredibly off putting and disruptive to the other player. You'd rightly get thrown out of a tennis match for that sort of behaviour.

I agree that it's disruptive. But well... This ain't tennis

Interesting comment, I googled a bit to see if there are even any tennis tournaments in Malaysia or Indonesia, because I suspect tennis has much less of a presence there. Turns out there is only one women’s tournament in Malaysia. Kind of confirms my suspicions were that tennis is more of an “upper class” sport in western countries. Requires too much space to play, and also too hot in SEA countries. The rhythm of the sport also isn’t as exciting as badminton, so fans would have less chances to do the disruptive yells.

8:01 and a few other times in the game the shuttle seemed to be out but the players still play on instead of letting the shuttle drop. Is this because they do not want to take the risk of a mis-judgement, the speed of the game does not allow them to make a decision within that short petiod of time or is it my bad judgment (badmintons not my main sport)

You're right, it is most likely that they either do not want to risk mis-judgement or they are unable to judge perfectly during the rally. Also, when the match is really tight, they will usually play on to eliminate the possibility of judging wrongly. Thanks for watching :)🏸

it becomes natural to know if the shuttle is in our out. You don't think about it to much, it more of a gut feeling. You know where the lines are by your footwork. if you have good footwork and the distance of the shuttle traveled don't fall into your steps it would be out.

if you are talking about that lift by kenichi tago, then than was in and the net play by lcw, was most probably in, but due to the side camera angle i am little bit uncertain
