Just venturing out in reloading ... I have been loading single rounds, but need to speed things up a bit. Seeing as the cost of presses has now gone through the roof, Im looking at the Lee Classic Turret press to hopefuly reduce my loading times from around 3-4 hours per 100 to less than 1 hour. Great tutorial and exactly what I was looking for to get an isea of what is involved

Would Love to have the amount of reloading bench length you have. Really appreciate how you have setup your work areas. It always great to see someone who takes pride in what they do.

I switched from a Dillon 550 full progressive to a pair of LCT's a few years back. I find the lee MUCH faster to change calibers and it's feedback (of one operation per stroke) makes it much harder to make a mistake. The primer system on the Lee is way more reliable too. I can do 150 rnds an hr on it but mostly putz along at 100-120 with a coffee in one hand. . Not only is this press a great value but in my opinion, it's a great press for anyone at any level. (p.s. I'd also point out that the quality and function of this Classic turret is miles ahead of their original turret press.)

Great video. I've been using this press for a few months now and after a short learning curve, am loading quality ammo in a reasonable amount of time. One point that I will pass on: it is not necessary to torque the locking rings down that tight. Lee supplies a plastic wrench for a good reason, just past finger tight is enough. I have never had a die lose adjustment and do not apply anywhere near that much torque. Enjoy your new press.

You should like that press, I have the Value Turret and it works great for me. You'll soon want more turret plates & dies to totally equip it. haha

Lee Classic Turret press was my first press years ago. I still use it from time to time and I always recommend them to new reloaders to get their feet wet.

What make is your bullet seating die? I like the locking ring on it, my Lee die is just a friction fit.

They are Lee dies and those lock rings you can buy from Lee as well. They come in a pack of three various different colors.

So I have a dumb question. I just ordered one of these presses. So i have no experience on it personally. And you put in a flare die. I was under the impression that the powder measure expanding die does the flare while charging the case. So were you able to set up the measure to charge the case only without flare. Cuz that’s what I would rather do as well.

I set up my Lee crimp die according to their instructions, which is different than the way you set yours up.

My Turret, does not stop in the right position, when operated with the index rod. I try to follow the LEE instructions and hold the rod with a 1/4" wrench in position and turning the turret in the correct position. This is not working out.
