And a lot of bad music. One tends to forget that there was elevator muzak everywhere back then. How about the Bubblegum kiddie songs? But yes, if you knew hat to look for, there was fantastic music around.

I am Yaya to my Only Granddaughter. She loves calling me Yaya. I heard a boyfriend of a friend of my daughters when she was young was named Yaya! And just adored that name. When I found out Yaya was for a Grandmother in Greek...I knew right then what I would be called!! My Soninlaw found this song. I had totally forgotten it existed, but remembered immediately!!! Now my Granddaughter loves hearing it to!!! Yaya forever, my favorite thing! Thank you Lee Dorsey wherever you are!

Notice two things: Back then, all the girls would clap left hand over right hand and then right over left. Also, the girl at 1:15 is much cuter than the girl sitting next to him on his left. My 2nd term of my 1st year at "party school" (aka College!); right before I went into the Service and Vietnam. Props to Lee Dorsey... P.S. In case you're interested: La La stands for Louisiana and Ya Ya stands for his GF (girl friend)
