White guy from the suburbs here, not sure how I got here from KZbin but genuinely enjoyed listening to the different perspectives on life, different philosophies, attitudes towards realities of the world. LD said something that I really associated with but never put into words of my own; the thoughts on what constitutes being real. I came to respect him more and more throughout the conversation because it’s obvious the man not only stands on what he says but stands FOR what he says. He’s an honest dude who definitely earned my respect regardless of how different our lives are. I grew up 30 minutes away from where LD live but there’s many more dimensions than time and space that come into just how different our worlds are. The beautiful thing is I could still listen to everything he said and understand the feelings he expresses and that shared human experience. Maybe his opps aren’t sweet, but they see that same honest humanity in him, and have to respect it. Why hate someone who’s real, even if you’re supposed to hate them because of some beef that your boys were in. The winners are the ones that can set aside their differences and realized that no matter what, working together is always gonna produce better results than fighting apart. That’s just basic economics.
