I’m from the Scottish highlands and was 21 when this came out on vhs. I was a 21 year old single mum and my kid was a few months old. I remember the first time I watched this - mum was babysitting and myself and some fiends got a carry out and all crammed into a small living room and laughed our butts off at this incredible show. I’ve since watched it many times and it’s still as funny as the very first time I saw it. I was in a pretty bad way with postnatal depression and I remember properly laughing when I saw this and that was the first genuine laugh I’d had since I’d even become pregnant in 1998.

The first stand up I ever saw was "Lee Evans live at West End" when I was a wee school kid at a friends house on video, he had me in tears to where my stomach hurt from laughing too much 🤣Loved him ever since and this show is no exception!

One of the only comedians that has stood the test of time . Even 20 + years later. Not deemed too offensive by the woke brigade, didn’t cross the line to get publicity. Always remained humble and appreciative of his fans. Here’s to you Mr Evans. Enjoy your retirement mate. Well deserved .

Ohhhh my god, I remember this on VHS. Me and my homies had never heard of him and getting blunted every night was perfect for watching comedy, once it was on that was it absolutely hooked, gotta be real early 90’s something like that, good times and nothing has changed, blunts, Lee Evans are perfect like Coke and Ice

Wouldnt be using carrier bags to pick up dog shit now... not at 30p a fucking bag cheapest 😂 I actually go through life thinking about Lees casualty joke because I'm the person that should be in every fucking episode 😂 luckily i dont end up in a&e often.... it's usually not serious enough for a trip to casualty.
