He used examples of Espanyol fans chasing Barca players when they won the league, Sporting fans invading the training ground when they didn't get UCL football, and PSG fans protesting outside Neymar's house. People need to consider the context. 2015-2016 winner was Leicester city and second is Arsenal. 2016-2017 winner was Chelsea and second is Tottenham. The top two of the former years did not perform and was gone. Man City is different. They have won three consecutive seasons. You can be the tenth team in a season and win it the next season. This era has passed because Man CIty is there. It is not the same competition environment.

As an Arsenal fan, I’ve never in my life, 100% categorically been in agreement with a Manchester United fan. Terry has said exactly what I wanted to say to Lee for years. Only this coming season can we say that us Arsenal fans expect us to compete for the title. Now Arsenal are where Lee expects us to be, but it is taken time to get there. The reason why Lee is delusional is because he has no concept of reality and how every new manager means a new project starting, and depending on circumstances at the time will dictate how long that project is going to take. When Arteta took over as first team coach, we had a completely different board room with snakes like Raul, Sven, Viney or whatever his name was, Gazidis!!! They were all on a power trip, and the boardroom was the start of the poison that seeped out into the club and our greatest ever manager who was managing a balancing act was left to blame only for a talented manager to replace him, and ultimately fail, because replacing Wenger was always an impossible task. It wasn’t until the owners ceased, complete control of the club and got rid of these parasites who were destroying our club. They then brought in Mikel to work with Edu on rebuilding Arsenal. This was a master stroke as it put both “Arsenal men“ in a position on the board and on the pitch to work together to bring us back to our glory days. The only problem was time has done its toll, and we had a squad full of mercenaries. Due to financial Fairplay and not being in the Champions League, we were limited with our resources so of course it would’ve taken time to rebuild. That is what you call reality, that is why Lee is delusional, and this video demonstrates that point exactly. Well done Terry, my hats are off to you sir. 👏🏻

I hardly used to agree with what Lee says..but towards our capitulation this year (Annfield to be specific) I find him mild. The reason he deliberately doesn't acknowledge Any progress is because at this stage he has a point..we have things backwards. Ultimately, It starts with what we as fans demand to ensure the club stops making excuses, bad and risky decisions at our expense cause they are too comfortable playing on our sentimentality. If Arteta's job was on the line he would have atleast won 2 or 3 of those easy games we threw away. Which would have meant missing the league by a thread and given us hope for next season. Keeping the club accountable to higher standards would have also meant we dont get embarrassed every transfer and blame lack of depth, which was not by the way, the reason we bottled the league. Arteta mismanaged those games. Arteta has done a great Job so far but we also have to remember why we compete...even westham now has a european trophy to show for it. Ultimately, we should not be merely hoping to win but actually making deliberate attempts to act like we want to win. We need a striker and not balogun experiment nonsense, RW,RB esp if Benjamin is reinstated to CB, LB to the rosta( zinny has cost us some games sadly), 2 xD.Ms to replace xhaka, dept. I swear Lee can’t truly believe his team has to win year on year out competing with a team like city, there’s a difference between wanting to win a creating possibly one of the best teams ever, that team all around took 7 years to perfect and this man thinks throwing in a new manager and buying better players will make them win right away, it’s as if players don’t flop, players or managers don’t click, someone should ask him how his system worked as an owner, there aren’t that many world class managers to keep throwing away when you fail so how would it work, also spend every year when players fail sell and buy don’t build and be patient? I usually agree with Lee on most things, but not on this one😭. Ten Haag has been at United less than a year and won a trophy. On the other hand, Arteta has been at our club 4 years and won an FA CUP. Total difference Lee💯. Arteta should be sacked for all of this!
