1:22.............the K-car & its derivatives did that, & so much more for Chrysler. I have always had a VERY special place in my heart for the K-car. Sure, it was NEVER exactly the most beautiful vehicle in the world, but without this car, Chrysler as we know it would most certainly not exist today. Plus, the chassis of this humble little economy car was the basis for almost all of Chrysler's new cars in the 1980's. It spawned sedans, coupes, wagons, sports sedans, sports coupes, luxury cars, convertibles, even limousines. It was also the basis for the first minivan

Sad thing is later iacocca would only reminisce about mustang and the minivan and basically blew off the K and it's derivatives.at the time chrysler needed it to survive..when it worked he moved on.

I think it’s because he had more direct involvement with the Mustang and Minivan than the K-car. Hal Sperlich, one of his subordinates from Ford, went to Chrysler before he did and really spearheaded the project. Even he admits that he couldn’t take much credit for its development because it was already underway when he arrived.

The minivan was basically a K

The K was already set when he got to Chrysler but it was the base ingredient he used for the rest of his career just like the 1960 Falcon had been for the first half ot it at Ford.
