Since the drama was a failure in Korea, the hopes for season 2 are same as a no. But the international fan base of this show is very vast, I literally wish dey would make a season 2, only to satisfy us ~international fans. Hwaiting!!

what why was the drama a failure in Korea? because he didnt had the standards? sorry your post is 5 years ago, i came across it a few months ago, and my heart grow so big for lee that i rooted him from the beginning they met eachother. as it went on it was so sweet but also bittersweet, the dynasty ending was how i wished it to be, but that they part life was not what i have been expecting. :( sometimes they should count the whole rating international and not only home country, the standards expectations are different. i really hope they wont put every drama asde because homeland wasnt a success in rating. :( Lee is handsome she was beautiful aswell, the acting was more than good i cant understand how this can be a failure.

Lee is really one of a very good expressionable actor i have seen. I believe alot of womans dont find him handsome, but i do. im just so dissapointing of the end it basically was a open ending. i felt so bad to look back seeing him in pain :( he didnt deserve such an ending.

November 5th ,2017...I am watching this drama for n-th time....lost track, because I have been watching so many times since the premiere. I love everything about it, the chemistry between all the actors and how they played...stop that nonsense that IU didn't play well...practically she carried on WONDERFULLY her role and it wasn't an easy one. I love the image..is pure artistry and the director should have taken an award only for that. And the MUSIC...the best. My question is why this drama didn't do well in ratings in S Korea? More than a year had passed and I still couldn't find an answer.

Done watching Chinese version sequel 2, and definitely Ryeo korean version will be soon' now I fully understood 'why the ending should be that tragic', it's because there's a sequel 2 for it! and that explains why IU has a nice short bob hair cut! just like in Chinese version 2 she has a short bob cut for modern times!!! now Lee Joon Gi and IU simply possibly promoting it in Taiwan' because Lee Joon Gi shocked the audience of IU's concert for appearing with striking Batman pose, while IU is singing and kneeling down beside him ...thats a Big Clue to the puzzle of Ryeo sequel 2 is truly coming soon!!!

Some people are saying IU isn't a good actress. I agree she still has much to learn ...BUT...she and Lee Jun Ki are looking so good together and have such a good chemistry than we can easily forgive her for some mistakes(mostly in the early episodes). Isn't all her fault but the Director's too
