Here is modification I made about 4 years ago. I had subscriber ask for me to do another video on the subject. If you use this modification, you will not have cases upside down. Sorry bout having my back to camera.

I was watching your video, setting up my first LM in 9mm. I bought 5’ of 1/2” PEX 5106 (Blue) from Lowes, cut about 7/16” of the PEX and placed in collator. I’ve ran about 300 cases through and no issues, normally I would have roughly 10. I really enjoy your videos, I’ve learned a lot....thanks!

I used a .45 case to punch my holes for 9mm. It seems to work great. I might get one upside down case every couple hundred rounds. I love your videos. You show a lot of good ideas.

Great video! The 1/2 inch pex inserts is the fastest fix to this issue. Five feet at the hardware store is only a couple of bucks.

For me a far simpler and easier way for 9mm is to cut four lengths of 1/2" pex or pvc or cpvc pipe about 1/2" or 3/8" long and insert them into the four holes in the collator. Very easy to do and to reverse by pulling the inserts out with a bent tool used for this type of things. A set of picks has one of these and they are very inexpensive. If needed, the inserts can be drilled to a larger size.

#1 drill through a penny - push a spent 22LR casing through and drop into the center hole of the collator. Works great and only cost $0.01

Big Popee ,dude I see your dedication to Lee and I’m right there with you. In fact reloading ammo has overtaken shooting it up. I have hungry full auto Mac’s 380’s, 9’s, and, 45’s. It’s the only way to run these guns with absolute perfection. Then showing off ,after making the brass empty. Not sure what impresses the most. Firing full auto 30 rounds with the brass catcher, or in silence through the suppressor, or those freshly fired 30 cases reloaded. What ever it’s a fun thing to do. Only in America Popee. But not much longer if certain factions have there way ? ? ?

Thanks for stopping by my channel, I love the sport. I have found that if I reload my own ammo, I shoot tigher patterns. I shoot around 1000 rds per week, that include my wife shooting. Best thing I ever did was to buy my wife a gun, she loves to shoot. Once I started reloading her rounds, she never say anything about how much money I am spending. I had to sell my other toys before I got my reloading mancave. I started her out with 380 , bought 2 9mm guns. She is hooked, lol I hope I get to keep my channel on youtube, I reload for my own use, and I am not manufacture that sales my reloaded ammo. Its crazy about all these gun laws that they want to pass. Good Shooting my Friend

Making the holes for the diameter of the case mouths instead of the case rims didn't seem very logical to me . . . And - is your camera welded into that one position and immovable?

Only had that problem when just dumping cases in the center of the collater not the edge while shaking it

Two alternative solutions: First, if when pouring cases into the colator, place the four fingers of your non-dominant hand in the holes to the feed tubes. Once the colator is full, wiggle and spread your fingers befor shaking the cases down into the trough. Inverted cases will be very rare. Second method is to get a machine screw the size fit/grip the center hole. Get a plastic or paper dime to penny sized disc (I used plastic 20ga over shot disc) and thread that onto the screw. Adjust the screw in the cent hole so that the disc height is just under the diameter of the cases being loaded. Very very rare to get an inverted case -- I do not think I have ever had one this way, but I now use my fingers as in first method.

I’m having a problem with the shell plate ...my brass is not always fitting in the shell plate it’s like the brass is too big to slide into the shell plate slots...any insight on that ? Thx

Easy fix, you need to purchase lee bulge buster kit 90487 to run your brass through to fix this problem. Cost $19.98 , you will use your crimp die with the kit. This mean your shooting a hotter round, than normal or you shooting P round or mag primers. You can save your brass with this kit. You might want to lower your grns of powder a little. Just something to consider. I had this same problem about 8 years ago when I was shooting 357 magnum with magnum primers. Hope this help you. Good Shooting my Friend
