He did great. It's difficult to sing this song in front of IU. This is a very special song she wrote for her grandmother when she couldn't sleep, and she always sing it with her full heart. It's easy for her to tell if the singer is just singing with techniques or with full emotion. She said she doesn't sing this song often especially in concerts because she's afraid she might cry. Edit: you can see the longing in IU's face coming back when the song started. She really loves her grandma she literally grew up with her, and I don't know if her grandma is still with us, but I hope IU is ok 😭
