I am absoltely pleased with mine. I use one for each calibre on my lee classic turret. You can not beat the price and the speed of calibre exchange and the emptying of the powder hopper. Also the consistancy is great with the disks.I use the old auto disk measure and the new pro auto disk measure and they both are superb.

Been reloading 40 yrs Use the pro auto disk for my pro 1000 single stage press May be just here in southeast VA Never even seen unique on the store shelf

I want to use mine on the same press you have, mine was off an Lee 1000. Had the chain and smaller spring. How is your spring connected? And is that a spring that came with it ? Thanks for the video

Thanks for a great hands on review of the central features. I would however liked to have known if there is some sort of fine tuning possibility of the "disc slotted amounts of gunpowder". As you mentioned, +/- 0,2 grains is not even in the ballpark when handloading as this defeats a very important purpose of doing it (aside from cost savings)=eliminating the factor of the amount of gun powder in each individual charge. For me, I use a Dillon SDB (9x19, high volume) and LEE value press (357 Mag+38 Spec., low volume) where currently hand measure loads on a digital scale with +/-0,02 grains of precision (Precision and PPC competition). I just bought an RCBS Chargemaster lite to ensure consistency but achieving a higher rate of production (handweighing is not an option for the amounts required when shooting PPC :) ). It seems this unit may not be an option for lazy days when you just want practise ammo with close to match quality ammo. Hence,, the question remains, does it hold a load fine tuning option, enabling setting to consistently throw +/- 0,1 grain charges?

I have good luck with flake powders if I tap on the unit to settle the powder. That works perfectly if you do it with consistency. I use a lot of bullseye, titegroup, H-110, and HP-38. Those powders weigh out spot on consistently. My statement of +/-.2 is what the unit will do with big flaky powders with manipulation. The unit works great for what it costs. The unit itself can’t be fine tuned, but fine powders work perfectly. The key is finding a load that works well with what each disc well throw. I’ve been able to increase my production and keep accuracy after load development by choosing powders that work. Are there better tools, of course. But this one does a great job on a budget.

Very Fine spherical powders like AA2230 will give a variation of +- 3gr depending on the amount of powder in the hopper(even with the installation of a powder baffle). Ok for plinking but not target.

Any problems with leakage from the powder measure?

Not enough to be worried with. I get tiny bit with the super fine powders, and even then it’s not really noticeable.

I have an AutoDisk that I recently purchased. It leaks enough that the disk won’t return after 10 rounds. That’s with Win 760 which is fairly coarse powder.

I can’t say for titegroup, but unique was really accurate for this type of firearm.

I just got this powder measure but it won't fit in the die. Keeps hitting the expander and won't screw in. What am I missing?

Are you using a Lee powder through die?

You need to adjust the height.

The Lee Powder Measure is not accurate or consistant. You can't trust it to give to a precise measure drop. Don't chance a bad load. I hand load all my powders directly from a digital scale pan into the shell case. That way every measure is +/- 0.1 grain.

I haven’t had that issue with mine. With certain powders its spot on, every time. With powders that don’t meter well, it’s not dead on. Those get weighed and trickle charged to accurate readings anyways.

Concur. I hoped it would speed me along on my Challenger single stage press setup. I purchased it all; the Auto Disk Powder Measure, the 4 extra Charge Disks, and the small Dial-in Measure for small caliber loads. There was NOTHING I could do to get 2.9 grains in the flake of Titegroup to dispense at 2.9 for .380Auto cartridges. 3.2-3.5 grains was a close as I could come with the Charge Disk, and the small dial-up wouldn't do Titegroup in 2.9g - either too much, or a dribble. Maybe, with different types of extruded or really small types of hard powder, I'll try. But static cling is a big problem as well. Should work well with my .223s I'd think, and I do a lot of that. And middle of the road 'average' grain charge can be targeted for use. NOT a go for any 'precision' or maximum high-end loads though at all. Somewhat disappointing. Maybe I can experiment with a 'Space Filler' in that one Charge Disk.
