Don't take this the wrong way but American cars are slow gas guzzlers, always have been. Here in the UK we have 4 cylinder cars that do 145mph, and they are only 2 litre, add a turbo and you've got what you guys strive to make all the time. But our fuel is expensive so we have learnt to get the best out of small, there is a 3 cylinder out there that a person can pick up that does 400bhp

Great video! Nitrous bottles have siphon tubes that are angled towards the output valve, you'd get much better nitrous flow having the bottles on a 30 degree angle with the valves facing forward and down. The way it is now as the bottles get lower youll be spraying mostly nitrous gas (air) and not the liquid nitrous. The difference can be substantial especially as the bottles run down.

‼️Rear blower bolts - on a Cummins equipped truck there are two rubber grommets on the underside of the cowl. These are used when removing the 4 rear pushrods pulling them up through the cowl past the wiper arms. Not sure if this cab has these holes and grommets, but I know you could easily add the holes, touch up paint them and add some grommets. Make future blower work much easier. Can use a 90° drill or adapter to pilot hole then open them up with step drill. Did this on my 2007 Fummins conversion with engine in. I know ya ain’t skeered to drill ‘er either🍻

I prefer the beater look. This is a cool truck that isn't what you would expect. The faded paint adds to the story. Once you paint it you loose the history. I like the abandoned look. If you could find some old beater wheels that are straight it would even be better. Keeping the spoiler was important. I'm glad you didn't ditch it in your quest for a lighter truck. Keep the vibe the way it is.

I would agree with you if it was a normal ram... but its an SRT 10 with a DEMON MOTOR lol... I just think with those 2 factors it deserves to be nice. Now if it was a regular ram 1500 with a scat pack motor.. Ehh it would be different... but this is just my opinion... People dont shoot me for it :D

this is by far the coolest truck on YT. I vote no paint, and more weight reduction, can the power windows be replaced by manual windows? Is the sound deadening material under the carpet really necessary? heatercore needed? You said you went back to your highschool Honda days when you took the air filter off, tons more Honda things to do!! As someone who has painted a car, you never enjoy it as much after because you're always worried scuffs and marks, keep it as is!

Trucks are actually more aero dynamic with the tailgate! And its weight behind the axle helping to get more traction. Test it with and without the tailgate and you will see. Keep the awesome videos coming 😊. Oh and a paint job would look good, if you have the means might as well do it.
@chrisdavis34752 ай бұрын
I know it might be crazy, but I would do demon carbon fiber hood by mobb motorsports, do fiberglass or carbon fiber front quarter panels, get nicer headlights, or clean those up and get a wrap on it or a paint job, whichever is cheaper. Those alone will help shed a little more weight and spruce the truck up. I would then find more ways to get traction, because after all, traction is the hardest thing to find on any hellcat powered vehicle!

My first project car or should I say truck was a 2001 ford lighting. My mother was already giddy as she builds pro drift chassis and cars for people in Asia, but this was new beast. In the end we had a 1250 hp Whipple supercharger powered beast, and best track was 8.564 can't remember the 60 foot but it was amazing. Up till then I was racing my 2012 GTR 35 or our rotary powered 270z from the 70's. Now, me and my mom are looking for a SRT-10 to import back to japan to build a twin turbo monster just as a shop truck. Thanks for the great content.
