Great video mate, classic Mr Crabtree water the river Nidd, that stretch has changed since I have fished it many moons ago, those islands have appeared due bank erosion by the look of it, used to fish small pieces of meat over hemp on a small bomb, it used to throw up a few fish. Anyway good luck when you get to fish it, and look forward to watching the video. Tight lines and good health.

Cheers Keith, I will be fishing it very soon

Hello again Buddy. Really enjoyed the recce and your description of the area and river. Since my operation I am unable to recce possible fishing opportunities so really appreciate you doing this. Also great videoing and narration. 👍 PS hope you and the family keeping well.

Thanks Colin, so glad it helps you out, I may do some more in the future so if there's a river or area you'd like me to do let me know and I'll see if I can get it done for you.

@@Scottsoutdoorchannel Many thanks for your kind thoughts. Due to our differing locations I don't think it would be possible but I appreciate the thought.

great video again mate. the river looked very fishey in places and got my mouth watering for content coming from it. p.s i liked the polarised glasses part over the gopro so we could see what you was seeing, i dont think i have seen that on any other fishing channel.

Cheers Ashley, I can't wait to get back up there to be fair lol, yeah the lens worked really well, I'm trying to get something retro fitted for the camera in future as it just showed so much detail. Glad you liked it.

Us fisherman are spoilt … catching fish in peace and quiet. Certainly at that spot. Been there a few times and only see the odd angler now and again….. been there a couple of times when there has been a little bit of water in it and you can’t quite see the bottom on any of the spots that you showed in your video. Like you say will be brilliant for chub and Barbel … I go down there with my ultralight Lure rod and it’s not easy but there’s some nice fish to catch if you know where they are. Just takes time and getting to know the places. The thing is is that many places to go and these nice summer days don’t last very long…. Love the video buddy so hopefully on your next video we can see you catch some of them barbel and chub out of that stretch !! As for the Cow’s i’m the same. …. I had a bit of a incident at Helperby once … One of them tried taking my landing net and handle for a walk across the field. I ended up chasing it and before I knew it I was surrounded by them !! They backed off once I shouted and with my arms around make a raving lunatic but could have turned into a stampede and God knows what would’ve happened. It was my own fault though as I was fishing in a watering hole and I don’t think the lead cow was very happy 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Haha the cows can get a bit too close sometimes, the recce and research is so important to maximise time spent fishing, glad you liked it.

my trouble with these videos is they draw knob heads from comical's . can't unhook fish use wrong hooks . have NO FISH CARE what so ever , an influx in this anglers will only be bad . there's old guys had these spots for years peacefully . your a nice bloke but your giving away free advice and encoring the angler were trying to get away from

There's 1000's of miles of rivers to fish and your upset incase someone gets to your favorite peg an hour before you.....unbelievable. Have you left the same comment on other channels recce videos or just mine?
