Good stuff Locky. Just my two cents on Schmidt; I agree 100% with you. I am yet to see him make any glaring or costly errors, looks good on the ball, movement/positioning gives defenders a tough time and he generally seems to liven up that left side a lot when he comes on. I think there is a lot more to come from that fella.

Quality content as we have come to expect. Aaronson deserved a bit more love given the assist and goal that clinched the outcome. Both were the result of quality team play. Piroe is a duck out of water in the press, and Aaronson was on his own in the middle. Solomon's style fits well with Aaronson and anyone else that fills a channel. He is extremely quick, very comfortable in traffic with excellent vision and touch. He had several eye-popping goals for Fulham 2 years ago. A suggested topic: players and why they score, or fail to score. Piroe is a poacher with poise, good size and awareness in the box, but he is just an average athlete for this level. James, Solomon, and Ramazani score athletic goals. Those 3 are among the best athletes in the league. Aaronson's goals are because of hustle and positional awareness- he is not an elite athlete, but he is quick with a motor. He is more consistent with his minutes on the pitched managed. He really needs to figure out how to slow the game down in his brain. Gnonto is something of a positional mess now, I wonder if he is missing the synergy with Firpo? His stats are good but he seems to be regressing. Joseph is an elite athlete that hasn't figured it out yet. He should really benefit sharing the pitch with Solomon.

I try to avoid replying to my own comment, but I failed to make this point: Farkeball expects goals generated primarily by the athletic wings and by extension the full backs. The press turns the ball over and chaos rewards better athletes lying in wait. Solomon's assist to Aaronson was after a terrible pass under pressure. Solomon was standing all alone in space. The ball stayed within inches of his feet through traffic before the pass to Aaronson. Joseph is far more active than Piroe, so IMHO better suited to start, especially for away matches. Piroe will benefit from tired defensive legs in the box and simplify his pressing decisions- goals await!

@@lightninggornall I agree 100%. He also has elite or close to it quickness- his first 2 or 3 steps are really good, but he is probably 4th or 5th fastest on the club over 40 yards. Aaronson will leave it all on the pitch, a plus and a minus. His play his more consistent match to match when his time on the pitch is managed. He is not the only one. Tanaka has played 90 for 15 straight matches. Struijk had played every minute of the season before his recent injury.

Plenty of fans moaning about Aaronson and Solomon but Solomon today 2 assists and a goal, Aaronson 2 assists and a goal. Solomon when fully fit is unplayable in this league, Aaronson has now got a few goals and assists but his main work is breaking up play, harassing and stopping them playing. We dont have a player who can do what he does… but I still say we don’t know how to use a number 9 but yet again our goals were all No9 goals because we play with a false 9. Piroe and Joseph were nowhere near the ball when we scored…… Dan James scored a great centre forward goal again today, Solomon the same…Aaronson too

Meslier - At least he didn't do a Sunderland. Solomon 9.5 on SofaScore - 1 goal and 2 assists :) . I saw Tanaka not controlling the game as much, and deferred to Amps - there's an interesting interaction between Amps and Tanaka. I look forward to seeing them building up a better understanding. The central lynch-pin. Nice to see Sam back after injury also. For me - Joseph should have started. His mobility would have been the best option here. I have no problem with Piroe (unlike others) but I think Mateo would have been the better choice.

Agreed on the strikers, Ipswich even up to last January were scoring plenty - still went on got Keiffer Moore who made a contribution - we need more squad depth and better players if we can get them and they are available. I don't think Burnley and Sheff Utd will stand still - you could argue we majorly messed January up last season

An expected result but in difficult wind conditions, I was wondering how long it would take our lads to switch on this fact after several high balls and crosses got wasted. But come the second half, learn they did and then managed to control and dominate the game. Some superb individual performances but what pleased me most was that they actually played as a team, for each other, no ball greedy individuals and they all took chances when the opportunities arose. Ampadu looked back to full fitness and even the subs all looked good. Farke has built a good base squad of players, and is still developing other’s. We just need to find this form when we travel away. Could find some minor areas for constructive criticism, but hey, 4-0, clean sheet and it’s Christmas 👍 Have a good one everyone, see you on Thursday 👍

Continuous Improvement should be a mantra at Leeds. There are no such things as problems, only opportunities. Improvise, Overcome and Adapt. I am happy with 4, but it should have been more. It is frustrating to see the talent and possibilities missing the mark. That is why we should strive for continuous improvement in everything we do. Another quality video.

Thanks Locky. Great win and performance. Yes, it was good to see Aaronson with a bit more composure - his goal was very well taken. Solomon was massive. Only thing I'd say is, relative to your other scores, I'd give Piroe a 5 or 5.5. He made Solomon's goal - very timely pass after using his bulk to get past the defender. To me he's more than a 1-trick pony - he disappears for large parts of the game, but then turns up with that assist. It was an excellent piece of work. Joseph for me is the problem. He is running around somewhat aimlessly. I agree with you that he doesn't seem as hungry as last season. I saw a comment that said his success for Spain at U21 level this year has perhaps got to his head. Championship football is way more intense than U21's. Coaching staff need to get him turned around. Maybe instead of bringing him on at 75 minutes, surprise him and bring Paddy on - he cant do any worse than Joseph. Agree too we do need to add to the squad next month. But I think its a 10 not a 9. We have - by far - the best goals difference in the league. We are scoring goals without highly effective strikers. We can't get a 9 right now as a Championship team who would be a star in the Premier League next year (yes, I'm confident!). Get in - as you put it - a playmaker number 10. Then splurge on a 9 in the summer.

Locky if we had done our job and not dawdled through the first half, we would have gone in at HT 3-0 at least, job done. But after watching a lack of energy and the usual possession based crap we could well have comee under pressure in the second half and dropped points. Luckily we stepped on the gas and ran out deserved easy winners after being rolled over for the first few minutes at the start of the 2nd. This was only Oxford not Burnley or Sunderland…… fair play to the lads, great result but we need to win the next 2 away games

Good analysis in the main Locky but I think you are struggling to be objective with Piroe. A 4 is a mark for someone who's had a shocker. Whilst he wasn't pulling up trees he did play an important part in the 1st goal and then created the 4th. The relationship with Aaronson has simply failed, not sure its entirely fair to lay the blame solely with Piroe. 5.5 absolute minimum and time for a 10 who creates for the striker behind him
