Like it when Jimmy Hill says the referee didnt see Hankins stamp on Wark, even though he was inches away lol. Wark didnt even flinch, it was all part of the game back then, picks himself up and gets back into position.

I liked Kevin Hird, either awesome or bad. The goals against Brighton at home that gave us hope and Newcastle away in the league cup redeems him from crap. Thanks again for the post...love it.

Jasper, great entertainer, well he always made me laugh. Saw him at wolves away, he got the ball on the half way line and must have beaten half the wolves team, rounded the keeper, leaving an open goal then fell over and the ball rolled out for a goalkick, class

10:28 Close down the ground because someone threw a toilet roll? C'maaaawn! I think in a previous clip it said someone was fined £400 for throwing a peanut. All sounds a bit ludicrous to me.

Good God, how did they play on those pitches???

When asked about the modern era and the money all these old timers change the subject to the playing conditions and are much more envious of the pristine surfaces of today than they are of the silly money. Leeds had a heated pitch as well - think they were too tight to turn the heating on.
@mickeasingwood74513 жыл бұрын
To be fair,it was the WORST winter since 62-63.Seem to remember the undersoil heating wasn't very effective on the Southern half of the pitch,either.
