First off, I have perfect pitch. Developed by age 15. I am 17 now and I believe that anyone at any age could learn it. I'm thinking of posting a KZbin video really soon on how to develop perfect pitch with 2 easy steps. Oh and I'm not full of it either.

I'm not born with perfect pitch but i was born with good relative pitch. What Leehom did here, a perfect pitch is not needed, but rather a good relative pitch is essential. But what he did is still amazing.

i kinda agree with you, but i think trained perfect pitch people rely on Relative pitch, on the other hand the born perfect pitch people can name the pitch of anything and can get a perfectly tuned pitch without relative tuning.

Pitches not to A=440? Could be so, but please take into account that the video might be played a little faster or slower which affects the pitch.

Actually everyone is born with perfect pitch, just that its lost if it isn't maintained starting from a young age.
@johnyprestige17 жыл бұрын
perfect pitch is aquirable, anyone who thinks otherwise doesnt know what they're talking about. the only reason why children can learn perfect pitch quicker is the fact that their ear hasn't been conditioned as much
@JAFrk17 жыл бұрын
If you train to the insane, you can eventually obtain perfect pitch, its just really...hard...

Song is in C, I have pitch. I either got it/learned when I was 18..... I'm the #1 PPP on Prolobe. some insight huh? the note scale IS A MAN MADE INVENTION. Thus, you have to learn the names of the notes. Keep that in mind when people spout born/with/it again.

sure it is, he was able to "tune" the notes to the key of C without reference.
@DOAer17 жыл бұрын
Haha I do that. But for E, I just think of the starting note of the Tetris theme in original key :D

you don't actually need to have perfect pitch to do things like this. but I think he does have perfect pitch...cause check it out on the piano
@KatyB3417 жыл бұрын
My piano teacher thinks I may have perfect pitch. She will play random notes on the piano and make me tell her what they are, but I have to do it fast. I still have trouble with E and F but other than that, it's good. I find it a curse really, you hear something and you have to go run and find a piano to see if it's right : (

I think being born with perfect pitch is a myth. My proof is that no one can be born and KNOW whether such an such note is an E or Eb becuase you learn to associate such pitches to what is arbitrarly chosen as A 440hz.
@signinname4117 жыл бұрын
I agree completely. It's a myth that needs to die. I acquired perfect pitch at age 19. I also agree with Blazey20. Some people with natural perfect pitch do come off as a little arrogant, which is especially annoying since it isn't as great as everyone thinks. Relative pitch is all you need.

That's bullshit. You can acquire perfect pitch through practice. Obviously you'll have to know how to get there. If you do, all that stands in your way is a lot of practice and determination.

first of all you cant develope perfect pitch. You can develop good relative pitch but not perfect. It wont be even close to what people who are born with it have. My gf was born with it and she says that she sees different pitches as different colors in her head and shes dead on every time. And shes pretty hot too.
