whats good leekautorepair, I've found that when installing the axel you can pack some grease at the end where the clip is at and just center the clip and 9 out of 10 it goes in without a problem . thanks for the video . keep making vids theres alot of people out there that need this kind of tutorial info.

And smashing the end of the axle like that should be done with a pointed air hammer or punch. I guess since you are replacing it, it wouldnt matter if you messed the threads up, but at least put the old nut on there when hammering.

I did my drivers side about a week ago (2010 Acadia). Watched a handful of videos. Some of the videos, only showed dribble of trans fluid come out, but like this video, I had a ton that poured out (3+ quarts). Fortunately, I had a pan under and caught 99% of it. Point being, make sure you have a few quarts of Dextron VI on hand before you tackle the driver's side. Supposedly the passenger's side does not spill trans fluid because the axel input on passenger's side is not connected directly to the trans fluid cavity - like the drivers side.

Leekautorepair not a problem my dude, btw how do you feel about working at dealerships as to working at a private or as to working at a corporation like being a technician at firestone or these other companies? Im currently a tech at firestone, still in my early stages of my career but not so sure if i wanna be a tech at a Corporation like that, hours suck and it seems like corporate is always in techs asses.

?? For ya ma 2013 Acadia left rear axle has slip about a 1” of movement clank clank. And the stabilitrak and trac control lights are one. It makes that clank clank at lower speed every 1/2 rotatation.. it’s in the rear end carrier. Left rear. Is that a axle bearing or carrier bearing? And the trac and stabli track off lights came on one that clank started.. I got under there today the sensors are good and found the left rear axle to have that left right play I checked right side it’s good.. it’s a friends car I trying help him can’t find anything part wise online . 2013 Acadia awd.. thanks man liked the vid for ya 👍🏻

just did the cv axle on my 05 pilot. Most everyone says remove the abs sensor so you don't damage it. Seems though a lot of the bolts snap off. Mine didn't break but the abs being plastic was stuck in the hole. Tried prying it out and then it broke. Now I'm replacing the abs sensor. Wished I would have left it now and took the gamble. I did remove the caliper to not put so much tension on the brake cable and the axle just needed that extra 1/2 inch more to come out. Those 2 knuckle bolts aren't they your adjustment for alignment? I tried to make sure mine went back in same as when they came out.

My wife’s CV axles on her 09 Acadia I think have gone bad. Makes a clicking or popping noise when turning. And during travel when you go over uneven road it jerks
@malcolmantoine34512 ай бұрын
You do not need to take the tie rod off. Take the brake caliper assembly off so you have more room to extract the axel.

You are right but the vid serves more than one purpose

I’m not a mechanic but I’ve done my owned before and they are super easy to take off. And ummm. Idk man but a bungee cord will keep your brakes from hanging 😆 😆 since your already in there might ass welltake the brake off and shit if your trippn about time. Charge them for it. Saves you the hassle of having to go back and do brake lines. Gotty other than that legit still shout out from California

Malik, you know you're the only one who shows a left axle replacement on an Acadia which has the same exact front end as the Chevy equinox which is what I am getting ready to do I looked at 1A Auto they don't even have one video that shows a front left CV axle being replaced on an Acadia or a terrain or a Blazer or anything like that or an equinox

Good video bro, but I'm confused as fuck. I've only replaced a few axles before but I've been trying to do my moms axle on her 07 Acadia awd. It's the driver side front. The fucking thing will not go all the way in and I have no clue why. We bought a remanufactured one and I thought that was the problem so we bought a new one and the bitch still wont go all the way in. I tried everything with the clip on the axle but still nothing. What do u recommend
