63 year-old rural, Georgia white guy here. 1st heard Anthony Hamilton '2005 (10 years ago) immediately bought 2 CD's. Both Killer. Been following/listening ever since. Grew up on old R&B (Bobby Womack, Otis, and others)...and I'm not talking their hits, but the 'B'-sides of records and those buried on a 33rpm. THAT was/IS soul. Discovered Leela late 2014, when on youtube saw the Hamilton collaboration and HAD to hear it....knowing she just had to have deep, unbridled talent for Hamilton to collaborate. BUT "SAY THAT"? Lordy, Lordy, Lordy. Makes a heart, soul and mind SOAR with all the good and love in this world. Leelas' individual performances and music is as powerful and refreshing as Anthony's. God, Please Bless these two artists and allow them to keep doing what they are doing. Amen.

I don't remember but it was a few years ago when I discovered Leela James. My favorite artist is Anthony Hamilton and I was listening to him on spotify and this song came up. They compliment each other so well and it looks like they could be good friends I'm not sure. I am not sure why Leela does not have the success she should have. Older people are always surprised with what I got on in my car, or just what I listen to at work. They don't believe that a 24 year old white "kid" likes all the stuff they grew up with.
