As an Black American, I’m still trying to pick up UK slang. It has deeper carribean roots than I expected, it’s a pleasant surprise. Things are generally easier to comprehend given the context clues, outside of the sensor words. I need a video on UK slang. Also, it’s nice to see how versatile UK gangster rap (and rap I’m general is). The rappers are, generally, much more fundamentally sound than their US counterparts. Over here, it’s almost as if people use gangster rap as an excuse to not know how to implement different styles, punch lines, master wordplay, actually being able to freestyle, etc. Big ups to the UK for being more true to Hip Hop culture than the US is right now.

Big up you man from the states. The UK is a big melting pot. Europe in general. We are still closely attached to our African/Mediterranean/Caribbean roots. Therefor our slang consists out of multiple ethnic backgrounds. The same way Hispanics incorporate Latin in to their music.

This kid is clever and a marketing whiz, I saw this vid the first time and I automatically went to Apple Music and started listening to his catalogue just off the strength of him breaking down UK slang. I enjoy tons of British content and have picked up the slang over the years. Not an expert but way more than my fellow countrymen. If the context doesn't help narrow down the meaning then a quick google search works just fine.
