you can increase power level by holding the button on the right. if you don't mind the noise I highly recommend doing so because that little robot is really powerful!

I feel that this robot would be great for hard floors because of the dry mop and the suction only without the rollers, which would tangle hair around itself.

The Wifi connection problem is probably do to an iPhone setting. I think since IOS14 its under Settings - Privacy - Local Network. If it's not there it could also be under Settings - Name of the App. I had kind of a similar problem with a customers Vorwerk (German vacuum cleaner brand). At our company we usually don't do stuff like this but as our customer has spend more than an hour with a hotline technician from Vorwerk trying to resolve the issue, the technician just said this has to be a Wifi or a Firewall problem. As we are managing their network, even tho I was pretty sure that this can't be the problem I said I'll have a look at that. After some trys I set up a network tracing and what not, just to find out that the robot was already connect to the network. After some more Research I found out that this was caused by I iPhone privacy setting I mentioned above...

Interesting,, the app does not have local access, but I do not see a way to give it access,,if it does not ask for it. ?? did you solve this ?

@@MyPlayHouse Yes I did solve it. However I did this several months ago so I can't remember exactly how I did it but I have documented at work. I'll look into that on Monday, see what I've noted...

@@MyPlayHouse In my case the setting was in Settings -> MyKobalt -> Access local Network. Where "MyKobalt" is the name of the Vorwerk vacuum cleaner app so you have to replace that wit the name of your vacuum cleaner app.

That is one cute little machine :-D I never liked the idea of devices having to be connected to the net to do it's job, maybe it stores the room layout on a server.? I will stick to my old manual vaccume cleaner, yes i'm a stick in the mud lol.

Not all robot vacuums require an internet connection. We've got an old third gen Roomba, it's still working great, thanks to the fact its fairly repairable, and it requires no internet connection at all. It physically cant connect to the internet, it wasn't designed to. It's not really a replacement for traditional vacuuming unfortunately. It just means you don't have to vacuum as often. Maybe newer ones are better in that regard.

That "magnetic something" is a boundary strip, you attach it to the floor in places where you don't want the vacuum to go, and it will avoid them.

Normally the app sense the change of wifi, so first connect to the same wifi that you want the device on, then follow the settings and connect to the wifi of the robot then go back and it should go forward... (I had a similar problem with one smart led tape controller)

I messed with this for hours off cam,, It just did not work for me,,, and for something like a vacuum cleaner,, it needs to be idiot proof..

@@MyPlayHouse Yeh! But i also some times have problem because of my thinkering of network and servers/pcs... so sometimes it's my fault for having different wifi network and other things. Sorry to hear that you can't test the "smart" face of this robot

cool this thing has Lithium Iron (LiFePo4) Batteries, as it seems.... so not so much fire hazard concerns

In fact all robot vacuum cleaners suck. The less they suck, the more they suck. The real cleaning effect probably comes with their permanent use. This little bugger will do a pretty neat job on tiles and wooden floors. (No, that's not statues of Floor Jansen!)
