Yes, 100% brewed in UK for mass market - just like the cans, which are horrific - so now another beer is off the list. Just shocking how UK beer drinkers are treated but to be honest, AB InBev and the other major brewers only get away with this because the average pub goer keeps buying the beers regardless and letting them off the hook. If punters don’t give a s*@t, why should the brewing company!

Thank you for really your informative content and for saving me, in this case from making an expensive mistake ! ... I first discovered Leffe Blonde at Maison Leffe in Belgium many years ago and it quickly became a firm favourited mine :) ... The recent move, by Anheuser-Busch to alter the beer destined for consumption, in the UK has, in my honest opinion tainted a once great classic drink so I was really looking forward to being able to enjoy the taste of the original brew via my soon to be purchased Perfect Draft Pro machine ... I was therefore saddened to find out, via your channel that the beer that I was about to order, from the PerfectDraft store was the same “Brewed in the UK” drink that AB-InBev are passing off as being made for the UK’s consumer palate which, to my mind is somewhat presumptive ! ... I’d therefore be really interested to hear what you feel would be a good replacement for Leffe Blonde now that it’s been forever ruined ! ... You mentioned, at the end of your video a beer called “St Feullien Blonde and I would love to hear your opinion on this and anything else that you feel would be a good fit for those of us who are going suffering the equivalent of a Leffe Blonde Cold Turkey moment ! ... Thank you once again and all the best ... Siobhan :)

Nice review...I am a long time beer drinker but a total newbie to Perfect Draft and have just bought the Pro machine bundle with the Leffe Blonde and a pair of Leffe chalices like yours. I only got it on July 19th so just over 2 weeks ago and my keg was 6.6%(written on the keg) so I must have been lucky and got one of the last ones. I did a review on it vs a bottle (the bottle was imported so seems to be brewed in Belgium but for the UK market) of the 6.0% on my channel ..am not a beer reviewer so its very amateurish compared to you guys who can spot all sorts of aromas etc than I can't :) ..but even I could taste a difference ... Like you say this trend in lowering ABV's is not good...keep up the good reviews

@@TomsManShed Cheers tom. First of all hope you enjoy the pd pro it certainly is a quality piece of kit. Yh this tinkering with the beers for the UK market I'm not having, your right for sure but think it's a poor excuse to make more money. Certainly no pro on picking notes up I guess it's all the practice I've had drinking beer that's done that ( maybe not a good thing). Yh theres notes there that it's leffe but you just know it's not the same and not for the better 🤷. You're right. I tried a UK brewed bottle when it came out and it's crap. Remember the experience you used to have with a bottle of Leffe, in the champagne style corked bottle with the cage. It's all gone and now they have ruined one of the best kegs on PD in the pursuit of more profit. Many including me bought the machine on the basis of it's range of Belgian beers and Leffe was one of the main ones. I won't be buying it ever again. They did the same with Stella and now another big beer gone. It's about time we all got together and stopped buying this sh1t.

A landlord told me the reason its been lowered is because of spoons. The amount they sell and demand nation wide, led ABinbev to brew it in the UK
@northyorkshirefieldsportsАй бұрын
They could have brewed it to the same strength but they didn't. It's profiteering and a complete disrespect for their customer base and nothing more. No import tax or transport costs and less UK tax to pay as it's lower ABV.

Why is Leffe now 6 in the UK? “As we continue to invest behind and grow Leffe in the UK, the abv of Leffe Blonde was adjusted in the UK to better suit the consumer palate,” a spokeswoman for Budweiser Brewing Group said.15 Nov 2023

It's been a bad couple of years on PD, lost the 2 decent Tiny Rebel drinks, then they lower Clwb and it seems watery, it's still nice in the sun, but not as good. We lose Magic Rock dark arts stout, which was lovely. Then get a horrid Cholate Orange version and a disappointing one from BrewYork/Vocation. The worst was losing La Virgen Lager and their 360 IPA and replacing them with inferior beers from Camden IMO. If they mess with the German beers and Hertog Jan, I’ll be throwing the machine out, not like anyone will buy it.
