Why do pros melee right after shooting a shotgun?

It cancels the pumping animation leading to less time between each shot, in other words, let's u shoot faster. It's a pretty easy and useful trick.

What is expert realism ?

Expert = difficulty Realism = removes survivor auras so you can't see them through walls
