for anyone whos wondering, this isnt really an easter egg, its a reference to the movie Dead Alive (aka Braindead), in the scene when the main character uses a lawnmower to kill a bunch of zombies. check it out, its one of the first flicks Peter Jackson made (LOTR director) and an awesome movie.

It's not so much an easter egg, as it is an homage to the 360 game 'Dead Rising', as you were able to use a red lawnmower to kill zombies. Another reference to the game is the 'Zombie Genocider' achievement (53,595 killed). In 'Dead Rising', the same achievement was present, with the number set at 53,594 (the population of the fictional town in the game). Hope that clarifies some of your misinterpretations.

Guys, I'm gonna be perfectly honest, I never noticed the huge chunk of flesh and blood in that basement. That little brick was the primary subject of my attention, and it's first now I see realize what was actually the secret hidden within.

If you don't get this: there was an old zombie movie backin the 80's and at the end of the movie a guy had a lawn mower and he cut through the zombies. the end.

it's more of a "reference" then an easter egg, but both terms are interchangable to the general populace... it's a reference to the lawn mower scene from "brain dead".

I don't see an "Evil Dead" reference, only the "Dead Alive" reference (possibly a double reference to "Night of the Creeps"). Ash never used a lawnmower, only a chainsaw.

It's a lawnmower hooked up to the ceiling...so some guy was killing zombies with a lawnmower and that's why it's so fuckin bloody haha plus in that level there's a lawnchair sitting next to a few pipebombs on top of a freight car...so someone was chillin throwing molotovs haha
