This is great review. I retired seven years ago from a very busy system where we had many high acuity patients. I'm a supervisor now in a beach community with completely different demographics, kinder and gentler (I needed that!) We recently had a STEMI where Sgarbossa's criteria applied. I've been boning up on this and Brugada. I wonder how many I missed since we got 12 leads.

Another fantastic video, Tom. I appreciate you diving into the background of the criteria. It gives people, especially like me, a story to hang on to, versus just memorizing rogue patterns. Plus it illustrates the limitations and the need for critical thinking. Well done, again!

hey tom just wondering why you wouldn't expect to see an s wave in V1/ 1 in LBBB. Thanks:)
@TomBouthillet2 жыл бұрын
You might very well see an S-wave in lead V1 (rS complex). However, a terminal S-wave in lead I would be consistent with RBBB morphology.

@@TomBouthillet what textbooks? Thank you!
@TomBouthillet2 жыл бұрын
@@imasuperkoala I didn't use any textbooks for the video, but I would recommend Chou's Electrocardiography in Clinical Practice as a reference text and Dr. Smith's ECG Blog for insights on identifying subtle signs of ischemia.
