LEFT COAST YACHTING EP03 - HECATE

In this episode, we make the passage north from Campbell River up to our final destination, Haida Gwaii. In the process, we had to cross the dreaded Hecate Strait. Between the mainland BC coast and Said Gwaii, this 50nm across body of water is know for violent seas, with opposing winds and currents and exposure to massive low pressure systems from the gulf of alaska.
We made the cross ion and arrived at the unknown islands of Haida Gwaii, referred to as the Galapagos of the Northwest. We spent the next 2 weeks exploring the islands and preparing the boat for our first guests to arrive.
