In a weird way: The original theme fits abridged alucard more since its deep repressed sorrow and anger over the world mixed in with 'I'm an ultra cool guy' energy, and he does not give a shit about anyone. However, that one was written for canon alucard. This one on the other had, while with the abridged version in mind, fits canon alucard better for someone who's basically just doing his job. He both cares and also absolutely does not care for mortal lives and gripples with a lot of things from his past out of his control. But overall, he's at the whims of Hellsing and is their best assassin.
