Love what you play: great idea about the breakdown between the 1st and 2nd fingers and the 3rd and 4th fingers.

The guitar is a Martin Taylor Joya archtop, made by Fibonacci guitars.

I don’t get what you are doing with with the first finger barre?
@ZeuzBluez6 ай бұрын
Holding it down to get the pull offs. Say if it s on third fret and pulloff with any finger on first string you get g note.

Martin, could you please explain more how to correctly learn barre chords so as not to overstrain and damage the hand?
@spritemakergager5 жыл бұрын
Eagle Light You just need to make sure to do finger exercises(as in rsi prevention techniques) before you play, 10 minutes into playing, and when your done playing. Then it’s all about stamina. When it hurts stop and rest/stretch hand, then try again. Eventually your hand gains some strength and stamina, and you know how to get good contact with less strength. Also not playing on a super high action steel string helps. Also for learning the hand position correctly, playing in a classical guitar position will really help teach that honestly. and having a classical guitar with a thick neck will really train your hand. But Martin can obviously answer this better than I can, this is just what kept my hands safe when learning guitar. Sorry for the modest wall of text

If you need me, I'll be in the barn sharpening the edge of my guitar to chop wood with.
