Again, I love this pattern. I'm left-handed, but can better understand & follow you watching the right-handed tutorial. This is on my to-do list.

Thank you for this video tutorial. I'm left handed and self taught, so I very much appreciate it! I'm working on this pattern right now and it's working up beautifully!

Absolutely gorgeous. Left hander here but I really struggled trying to get my hook through that extra little stitch. Undecided whether to carry on, very cross with myself!

I'm very new to crochet now that theres great instructions for lefties, and was shown to crochet the foundation chain thru the top loop only, but it looks like you are doing it differently and have two strands on the hook when you go thru your foundation chain. Do you have a video showing how you crochet the foundation chain?
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel2 жыл бұрын
people have fav ways to crochet I was taught to go through both loops in the foundation chain, my mother said going through 1 can if you crochet slack leave a line of holes where the 1 loop stretches. But if you are happy with 1 loop then by all means continue with that. There is no real right or wrong way to begin a foundation row or hold your hook. do what is comfortable for you. Xxx

My late brother, Robert was left handed. His talent was playing the flute, I am right handed & so are my late mom & dad. I am the only family member living. I love the yarns that are thin, & stretchable, & the beautiful pastel colors. I actually have a collection of baby blankets, made by my mom. I use then as table covers, extra blankets & furniture coverings. It really pretties up the house. I love you accent, love you channel, & the lovely work you do. I'm a 61 year old man, but I confess, I require a home the has that delicate, homespun beauty of a woman's touch. Through Christ, who loved me, even before I gave my life to him, I love you. Please, stay well.

Hi Alison, thank you for this lovely pattern! You mention at the end of the video that for the border you did two rows of treble crochet along the top and two along the bottom and one along each of the sides. So you had to cut your yarn and reattach it along the top or bottom? I’ve been trying to think how you might have done it without cutting and reattaching the yarn...🙂
@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel3 жыл бұрын
Yes, correct, Bea as there was one full row on the bottom from the foundation row, and one full row on the top i went down the left side along the bottom up the right side and along the top again. it gave a 2 row edge on the bottom and top and 1 down the side. (you could do a row each side so all 4 edges have 1 row the do more full rounds if you like.
